You enter under a wide portal, which overlooks a lovely, private garden and wooded area, providing a serene outdoor living and dining area. The beautiful kitchen with granite counters, state of the art appliances, antique butcher’s block and a cherry tree that grows right through the roof is the first room you enter from the portal. The living room has high ceilings, a fireplace, warm wood floors, a loft with a hand carved banister, a huge skylight and north facing studio windows. The main bedroom has a queen sized bed, luxurious linens, and lots of windows looking onto the totally private gardens. The gorgeous bathroom features a clawfoot tub and tumbled marble tile. The second bedroom is cozy with a single bed and a European style ¾ tiled bathroom accessed through hand painted glass paneled doors featuring “Zozobra” – Will Shuster’s famous creation of Old Man Gloom, which is an integral part of Santa Fe’s Fiesta in September – not to be missed.
The house is supplied with high-quality, luxury towels and linens, the kitchen is fully equipped, and the house has lovely furnishings, oriental carpets, and unique books and art. There is plentiful off street parking, a rarity in the historic east side. Historic Artist's Studio
Historic Artist's Studio
A unique, charming, private, and historical location for a Santa Fe get-away. The studio is well maintained, filled with pictures and memorabilia of the artist, Will Shuster, and close to Canyon Road galleries and restaurants. A beautiful setting for enjoying outdoor dining and relaxing, as well.

My wife and I spent 16 days at the Studio at the Schuster compound on Camino del Monte Sol in August 2010. This was the best stay I have had anywhere, anytime. Beautiful well-maintained house. Easy to live here. Caroline the agent so kind and helpful as well as Laurie the owner. This is the only place I want to stay when I come to Santa Fe.

Owner response: Our guests put the beautiful kitchen to the ultimate test and seemed to be quite content to enjoy the peace and quiet of the secluded Shuster Studio. We look forward to their return!

Why the Owner Chose Historic Eastside:
There is something special about Santa Fe. Is it the light quality and the way the architecture blends with the earth? Or the creativity and cultural richness that seems to pulse in the very air? We resonant with the art, architecture and natural beauty of Santa Fe and this leaves us feeling renewed and refreshed – even if we only spend our time at our beautiful compound enjoying the privacy and connection to nature that our unique home provides. Whether we want to dream away the day at home, walk downtown to the Plaza or grab a bite to eat and attend the gallery openings on Canyon Road we have it all within easy reach. Let us share this experience with you.
The Unique Benefits at this Estate:
Santa Fe is brimming with creativity, culture and beauty. The merging of cultures inspires a rich assortment of events throughout the year. Numerous art fairs and markets, sacred dances at the Pueblos, Feast Days at the many churches, lectures and performances at the Lensic Theater, and St. John’s College’s community seminars, lectures and performances are just a few examples of the many interesting, enriching opportunities offered in Santa Fe year-round. Do you love the outdoors? Natural wonders abound in Santa Fe - in minutes from our home you can hike, ski and enjoy the high desert and endless skies. I can’t think of another town that offers so many varied possibilities. And best of all - the historic Shuster Compound situates you in the heart of all that Santa Fe has to offer - the Plaza, Canyon Road, Museum Hill, galleries, cultural events, world class restaurants and nature are within walking distance from the compound.
