You enter under a wide portal, which overlooks a lovely, private garden and wooded area, providing a serene outdoor living and dining area. The beautiful kitchen with granite counters, state of the art appliances, antique butcher’s block and a cherry tree that grows right through the roof is the first room you enter from the portal. The living room has high ceilings, a fireplace, warm wood floors, a loft with a hand carved banister, a huge skylight and north facing studio windows. The main bedroom has a queen sized bed, luxurious linens, and lots of windows looking onto the totally private gardens. The gorgeous bathroom features a clawfoot tub and tumbled marble tile. The second bedroom is cozy with a single bed and a European style ¾ tiled bathroom accessed through hand painted glass paneled doors featuring “Zozobra” – Will Shuster’s famous creation of Old Man Gloom, which is an integral part of Santa Fe’s Fiesta in September – not to be missed.
The house is supplied with high-quality, luxury towels and linens, the kitchen is fully equipped, and the house has lovely furnishings, oriental carpets, and unique books and art. There is plentiful off street parking, a rarity in the historic east side. WOW!! What a fantastic treat to stay in the studio. We had a wonderful stay. The location was great close to Canyon road and St. John's College. We can hardly wait to come back to Santa Fe. A unique, charming, private, and historical location for a Santa Fe get-away. The studio is well maintained, filled with pictures and memorabilia of the artist, Will Shuster, and close to Canyon Road galleries and restaurants. A beautiful setting for enjoying outdoor dining and relaxing, as well.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, sightseeing.

My wife and I spent 16 days at the Studio at the Schuster compound on Camino del Monte Sol in August 2010. This was the best stay I have had anywhere, anytime. Beautiful well-maintained house. Easy to live here. Caroline the agent so kind and helpful as well as Laurie the owner. This is the only place I want to stay when I come to Santa Fe.Recommended for: Age 55+, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, sightseeing.
Owner response: Our guests put the beautiful kitchen to the ultimate test and seemed to be quite content to enjoy the peace and quiet of the secluded Shuster Studio. We look forward to their return!
