  We've traveled the world and Villa Verano is definately the nicest and most cared for 5-star residence we've ever vacationed at. If you think the pictures look nice, they don't begin to do this house justice. We rented the Seagrape unit which is the entire second floor, with access to all the amenities on the rooftop and the grounds. We had twelve people in our party and we had more than ample room. The beds and linens were as comfortable as home and non of us even missed our beds. The house is magnificently decorated with native themes and the level of detail is second to none. From the hand carved doors/beds/furniture to the beautifully inlaid floors, this house was built with the highest quality materials and workmanship. The property manager, Liliana, will take care of your every need to make your stay as comfortable as possible. We hired a chef (Cheryl) for the 14 days and the meals were fabulous. We had everything from local dishes of fish to homemade pizza. She even arranged a hunting party so that we could have the ultimate Belizian meal of Gibnut (it was good enough for the Queen). The pool is massive and it's the first time in my life that I was able to sit at the pool and the beach at the same time. The pool chairs are so comfortable, you will have a hard time staying awake when all you can hear are the gentle ocean waves. Don't miss out on taking the trimaran for a sail. The maintenance staff is trained to help you get started if you're a novice. The gym is large and has everything you need to keep in shape, including a gorgeous view of the jungle. The hot tub could easily accomodate all twelve of us at one time and the sitting area adjacent to the hot tub/billiards room was great for watching the stars at night while others played pool or relaxed in the tub. The billards room is fully equiped with a drink refrigerator and it's own comfortable seating area. Belize is a great area for exploring. We booked 5 tours and two fishing excursions through Janette at Second Nature Divers and the execution was flawless. The tour guides were trustworthy, experienced, and friendly which made for many enjoyable experiences. We went snorkeling, cave tubing, zip lining, walked amoung the Mayan Ruins, hiked in the Jaguar Preserve and took boats up the Monkey River. If you're used to being pampered, the Villa Verano is for you...it's worth every penny and you won't be disappointed! The Smarts/Fullers and five friends from around the world

  Where to begin.... Everything was perfect from the moment we arrived. We stayed on the second floor of the Villa Verano known as the Seagrape. Our family of 23 went to Hopkins for the Christmas holiday and all but 5 of us stayed in the villa. The other 5 stayed in the connecting resort Jaguar Resort in an ocean front room that comfortably slept 2 adults, a teenager, and 2 little kids. The Seagrape is absolutely beautiful and spotless clean. The kitchen was fully equipped and had all of the cooking supplies and utensils that were needed for our stay. We cooked several meals at the villa and even used the grill up on the rooftop to BBQ one of the nights we were there. The house is beautifully furnished and everything is in mint condition. The beds were very comfortable and the linens were top of the line. Each room is individualized by beautiful carvings on the door of turtles, monkeys, sting rays, etc..that match the bedroom furniture. The stereo system is iPod compatible and can be adjusted to be inside and outside so you can enjoy it when sitting down by the pool. The upstairs is equipped with a hottub, pool table that can convert to a ping pong table, excercise room, lounge chairs and an amazing 360 degree view of the area. There is also another room upstairs but it was occupied by a different couple so we never got to see it. The pool is awesome as well, it has a shallow end as well as a deep end. The temperature of the pool was just right. The beach is simply beautiful and it is cleaned to perfection daily by the staff. The kids had a blast on the trimaran sailboat and the kayaks that are parked right out in front of the villa. The staff at the three connecting resorts are so nice and accomodating. They were all so professional and friendly. We loved them all and hated to tell them goodbye. It was nice to have the privacy and comfort of the villa, yet the convenience of the resorts right next door. We ate at the resort from time to time, yet went to Hopkins to the grocery store and restaurants. We rented 2 six man golf carts from the resorts for the entire 10 days we were there and traveled all over in those. They were a great asset. We all had a wonderful vacation and would highly recommend this villa to anyone. We can't wait to go again someday. The owners of the villa, Neil and Elizabeth, were easy to work with and very helpful when answering our questions and helping us make arrangements.

  We found that the living room wasnt quite big enough for jitter buggen. If you are going whitey tighty diving after midnight, you have to be quiet. You can get some damn good lobster if you are nice to the locals. Its five oclock somewhere. The sand flies win. 6 man golf carts actually seat 12. If you go to the marina after midnight, you will meet the security guard. The hippie chick in the bus has trouble remembering things. Food in town is the best ( Innies, and Chef Robs). Its not easy supplying 4 cases of Belikin per day. Don't sit below any birds in church. It takes three hours, and a twelve pack to go get pizza. Deet is our friend. We tried hemp oil, preperation H, pool water, hot tub water, cornstarch, and many other substance that we thought might stop itch. What time is it? What day is it? Un Belizable!
