  My husband and I rented this beach house the week of Christmas. We were going to spend this vacation in the mountains with our children who all live in different states but our son and his wife who live in St. Augustine found out they were expecting our first grandchild. So our plans changed and we decide to stay in St. Augustine. I found this beach house on line and loved it. It’s a great location, very large and clean. We walked across the bridge and all the way to the carousel. The views on top of the bridge were awesome!!!! The home had everything we needed. It was well stocked with lots of basics left from previous renters so don’t bring a lot of stuff from home like I did. Check it out first and then Shop after you get there.. Publix is across the street. The only thing that was missing is a waffle pan ? We love pancakes!!! The path to the beach is very short (about 3 minutes) and easy to get to. I bought a white Christmas tree and decorated it in the different shades of blue with star fish. It looked great in the house and Christmas morning was wonderful!!! The weather was prefect…cold but not freezing, sunshine each day , we took the chairs from the closet downstairs which was full of beach stuff and sat on the beach every day for hours !!!! The sunsets were beautiful and got some great family pictures on the beach. One note about the downstairs space, I was not sure about the setup . I was thinking for the other post that there were 2 rooms plus a TV room… but not the case; there is 1 room with 2 queen size beds with a bathroom. The other room is a huge room with a daybed and pull out single mattress under it, a big TV, a big L shape couch, small table, with lots of space. Also on this floor are another full bathroom and small kitchen and dining table. Great space!!! My only complaint would be no outside lighting where you park your cars….being winter and getting dark very early was hard to see unloading your car, also hard to see when grilling. I'm sorry it was so dark when you arrived. We do have to abide by strick laws regarding lights due to the sea turtles that nest on our beaches.   My family and I rented this house during my Brother's wedding weekend. It was a great location and close to downtown for all the festivities. The house was large and we never felt crowded. We will definitely look into renting here again.

• A WONDERFUL Week!!!!!

  This home has been the *BEST* vacation we have had in years!! The home is large enough for large/extended families to spread out and have plenty of room, yet easily spend time together in the large living spaces. The three story home has separate A/C units for each floor and everyone was able to be comfortable and not have to worry about being "too hot/too cold". The front decks were perfect for watching the kids in the pool while protected from the weather (Tropical Storm Debby). While not exactly "ocean front" the ocean was easily viewed from the upper decks and was a quick 3-4 minute walk over a private walkway to the beautiful, spacious beach area. This area was incredibly private yet a quick drive to "old town" St Augustine. Within a short walk was a GREAT Italian eatery (Benito's), a wonderful Cuban restaurant, a public pier, delicious yogurt, chinese food and right across the sleepy 2 lane road was a brand new Publix grocery store. We walked EVERYWHERE!! At the pier there were boat and jet ski rentals. The owners of the house were great! Jennifer quickly responded to any and all questions. The home had everything we needed, including a pack-n-play (and all linen, towels--bath and beach--washer/dryer, etc). There was a "start-up" supply of toilet paper, paper towels. The price for the rental was easily less than we have been paying in the past for a nice place at Myrtle Beach, SC (yay!! no longer a fan of Myrtle Beach). The home was clean, and the master bath (3rd floor) was pure luxury. I was amazed at the many, beds/bedrooms and 4 1/2 baths!!!!!!!! The lower level has a large den area with a game cube console which was great during the "rainy spells" of the tropical storm. Main TV's had DVD players. We want to thank the owners again and again for sharing this wonderful house with us and the whole family said to let them know "we had sooooooo much fun"!! We will be back next year!!!! YAY!!! ~debi~ P.S. If you have a "crawler" (infant) in your group, bring a baby gate for the stairs (which we had with us)

  We have a new favorite rental house in St. Augustine. The large size made it easy to spread out - and find a little privacy - when needed. When we weren't at the beach or the pool, the second floor porch was a great place to hang out - with rocking chairs and other seating for at least 8. We could watch the older kids at the pool from the porch - so that was another perk. Since it is a shared pool it could get crowded or loud outside at times - but the house was well insolated so we were not disturbed when we were inside. I believe the pictures only showed a dining table for 6 but on the main floor there is another dining table with seating for 4 that makes it easy for everyone to dine close by. The kitchen was well stocked with more than enough dishes, glasses and silverware and cooking supplies. It was clear that the owners and the cleaning service they use leave some basics from previous renters there for the next renters - so instead of starting fresh you may happily find a few seasonings, flour, sugar, oil, drink mix, etc. The new Publix grocery store across the street is convenient - and surprisingly did not bring a commericial feel to the property. The owners were very easy to work with and responsive before, during and after our stay. *Added bonus - the numerical key-lock made it so no one had to worry about losing the door key!*

  This house was perfect for our family. There is so much room for large familys. The owner is right on top of everything so if you need something she takes care of it. Waking up every morning on the third floor bedroom was so beautiful because of the sunset over the ocean. I know this might sound crazy but having a grocery store across the street was awsome. We were there 3 times a day. Would rent this house every year if I could.

  What a Wonderful Place to Vacation! This is the Best of All worlds combined, Beach, Pool, Convience, and location to St. Augustine! Be sure to check out the Zip Line at the Alligator Farm and go to King Fish Grill at Sunset. The owners are wonderful people that have a rental home they are proud of and should be! Home being the key word. The owners are so easy to communicate with. There were 8 of us including teenagers. We had more than plenty of space to spread out and be comfortable. The house is very well maintained. Second refrigerator downstairs was very helpful. The home is very clean and the beds are very comfortable. The decks overlooking the pool are fabuolus. Publix is just around the corner and super convient without being intrusive. Downtown St. Augustine is a very short easy drive across the bridge. Private stroll to the Ocean, not far at all! Easy path to carry the beach gear. The beach is a shell hunters paradise! Have rented houses before and this one far exceeded my expectations. So many extras like beach towels and ocean toys. Thank You Very Much! We would love to come back sometime! Enjoyed watching the dolphins at sunrise! So much we didn't get to see while we were there. Don't hesitate to rent this home!

  This home is fabulous! We just returned from a 5 day stay and everyone had a great time. The layout of the home is very functional and it is nicely decorated and well equipped. We had six boys, aged 13-18, who had plenty to do, and having the pool was an added plus! It's a very short walk to the beach and historic St. Augustine was such a close drive, we made several trips for the afternoon. We will definitely plan a stay at this home again.

  An outstanding rental property- excellently located near the beach, spacious, clean. Furnishings very comfortable- couches, beds, chairs. Two well stocked kitchens with all appliances. Far exceeded our prior rentals in St. Augustine. Many nice touches - games for kids, etc. About as good as it gets!

  This was hands down one of the best beach houses I have ever stayed in. The house was immaculate! It was huge! The pictures do not do it justice. The balconies are perfect for watching the ocean, and watching the kids play in the pool. The layout is PERFECT for big groups. The master suite upstairs is to die for! There were more bathrooms than we knew what to do with. The pool is literally two steps from the back door downstairs. It couldn’t be any closer. The beach is a short stroll down a nice path, a 3-5 minute walk. The house was stocked with pool toys, beach towels and beach gear. The layout of the kitchen was great for grilling out on the balcony upstairs. There are several rocking chairs on the balcony that have a great beach view from one side of the house and a pool view from the other. We had a great vacation and wish we were still there. The owners are also wonderful and great to work with. I highly recommend this house!

  Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

  We rented this property for a week with two families. There were four adults and three kids aged 6 to 12. The house was clean, spacious and relaxing. The kids had a great time in the pool right outside the door and on the beach just a short walk over the dunes. If you are going to rent in the St. Augustine area, this is a great choice. Besides being beach front, It's a five minute drive into downtown St. Augustine and all the dining, shopping, and tourist attractions located there. Finally, the owner was great to work with and made the process from beginning to end easy and welcoming.

  Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, pet owners, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.
