Wonderful Charming Home Getaway

  • 5 of 5

Thank you Michael and Hyacinth for sharing your lovely place with us!

We inhaled the St. Augustine community for almost 3 weeks. Walked everywhere! Enjoyed the Celtic, Seafood and Art Festivals! Enjoyed a delish dinner at both the Preserved and Ice Plant...happy hour at the Ice Plant/Distillery is a must! Also listening to jazz in the evening on the rooftop of San Sebastián Winery with a wonderful glass of wine was a treat. To top it off, the Blue Hen for breakfast can’t be beat along with so many other awesome places we visited!

Cheers and many thanks.

Wonderfully cozy! Well stocked! Prime location!

  • 5 of 5

We so enjoyed our weekend at Harbor Island. The home is beautifully decorated with paintings by the owners of the house. The place was well stocked with any and everything we could have needed. We loved sitting on the porch and watching the sunset. If you get a sticker for the Old Town trolley, it will pick you up at the distillery, which is a quick walk from the house and take you anywhere you want to go in St Augustine.

St Augustine was wonderful we ate at the Blue Hen for breakfast, the Ice Plant for cocktails and dinner, and OC White’s for Sunday brunch. The shops are a ton of fun, as are the museums and don’t miss the distillery tour!

Our hosts we’re perfect, they provided info about the house, made some local recommendations, left us a treat and the rest of the fun was up to us!

I would love to stay here again the next time we’re in St Augustine!

It was clean and well kept.

We enjoyed the apt and the owners were available for questions and suggestions. Onsite laundry came in handy. Back porch sunsets are amazing. We did not mind the walk into downtown at all.

Quaint for 1 or 2 only

  • 4 of 5

Packed a lot into 500 sq ft.

Tranquil and relaxed setting. Very close to the historical downtown district.

The night life was lively and fun. Good food and reasonable cost for drinks.

Beaches were great and plentiful, clean and no charge to park. Liked Ormond and Jacksonville beach best. Amazing history and architecture shown throughout the area!

The washing machine was not working properly and Mike was going to look into - very accommodating. The home would well for 2 persons.

Thank you H & M

St. Augustine has a 450 year history in the making. It is truly a gem. Its lively and diverse downtown and close proximity to the beach makes it both stimulating and relaxing. The downtown area provides live music, entertainment, shopping, sight seeing, dining, bicycle and scooter rentals. The World Golf village is about 20 minutes drive north of the city. The Tour Trains provides transportation and information to the many attractions such as the San Sabastian Winery, The Ice House Distillery, Whetstone Chocolate factor, the Fort Castillo De San Marcos and many others. Romance is always in the air in St. Augustine and the city has become a popular place to get married. Often brides and bridal parties can be seen on Horse drawn carriages winding in and out of the downtown city streets. The old and the new provide an interesting mixture that will add to ones memorable moments.

Vilano Beach is north and east. Across the Bridge of Lions is St. Augustine Beach. Both beaches are about a 7 minute drive away. St. Augustine Beach Pier is a popular spot to view Sunsets and fish off the pier. surfing is also a popular activity in this area. The Amphitheatre on A1A host many musical events. The Anesthesia State Park has preserved an area where one can enjoy the feeling of being taken back in time. The people of St. Augustine are most welcoming, helpful and friendly.
