Fully furnished modern 3000sq house available for rent. Original Austin character and vibe located in the Hills overlooking Lady Bird Lake less than two minutes from downtown, Historic 6th, Rainey street, and South Congress.

3 BR and an office that can be converted into a bedroom. Can sleep up to 8-10 people in the house. Dates available are anytime. Hardwood floors, washer and dryer, two car garage, stainless steal appliances, 3 Big screen TVs, outdoor patio and yard, BBQ grill, 20 ft high ceilings. Tall windows/lots of Natural lighting. Bedrooms including Cali King Bed and Queen Beds. Upstairs den can fit another bed as well if need be. House equipped with surround sound, a vinyl record player, vinyl records, guitars, and pictures/paintings of historical landmarks and musicians.

Guest are welcomed with local beer and a local guide to Austin.

Great location

We were very mixed on our stay. The duplex is great with an open floor plan and plenty of space. Most everything was updated which was very nice but then there were things like the TV remote was duct taped together to work and there were no hand towels in the bathrooms. Gary was out of town when we arrived and his cleaners did a poor job unfortunately on restocking the place. We didn’t have any paper towels and dish soap and when we asked Gary where they were he said they must not have restocked and if we picked some up he would Venmo us reimbursement since he was out of town. We thought that was nice of him. But when we tried to use the outdoor grill a few days later after we think he returned back in town he responded the same way for us to go exchange it somewhere and he would reimburse us. Honestly we didn’t think we should be asked to do that ourselves and it would have been very inconvenient with our schedule of running back and forth to our daughters swim meet we were attending so we just didn’t use it. We also woke up the morning after we arrived to find a horrible smell in the garage to find the big garbage can overfilled full of bags of the previous renters garbage. When we alerted Gary of this we found out there wasn’t another pick up until after our 5 day stay so we had to place the can outside the garage by the door and walk past it every day. A lot of the issues we had were with the housekeeping and as we ourselves have a rental property we know that can outside of the owners control sometimes but it just seemed to keep piling on for us. Overall I have to stay our stay was good as far as the property, decor, location(short drive to lady bird lake) and Gary’s quick responses but with some of the other things we entered we probably wouldn’t choose to stay here again. Also as the previous reviewers have said- this is Gary’s home- there are a lot of personal items he keeps there. We just didn’t think it appropriate some of them we came across.

Great House, Great Location

This home is located extremely close to town. It feels like 15 minutes to get anywhere. The home is beautiful and the owner was responsive and helpful. You can't go wrong with this place. Highly recommended.

Perfect

Host was extremely helpful. Two members of our party arrived a little early and he was kind enough to allow us to drop our bags off so that we could go explore without lugging around everything. House itself was well maintained and nestled away in a wonderful little neighborhood that was close enough that you could walk, ride bikes/scooters or hop in a quick/cheap uber to get everywhere. Made friends with the neighbor and his friendly pup. All around it was the perfect spot for my small group of guys visiting Austin.

Everything was as described. Even had a 12pack of shiner for us. Easy commute to Rainey and dirty 6th. Master bed was one of the most comfy beds I've ever been in. Central HVAC works great. Tv and entertainment system nice!
