Our family had a wonderful time at Snoqualmie Chateau! We have rented through VRBO on several occasions, and this was by far one of the best places we have stayed at. We spent a lot of time on the main floor playing games around the table, and enjoying the fireplace and mountain views. The upstairs loft has a huge television with a gaming system, which was perfect for the kids and gave them some space to do their own thing. We loved being able to walk right out the door to ski, and then ski right back to the cabin with the hot tub waiting for us. All in all, we had a wonderful time and we can’t say enough great things about this rental! The management company that represents the house was easy to deal with, and very accommodating. We had several questions before arrival, and they worked with us graciously to get them all answered and make sure our stay was everything we wanted it to be. We will back for sure!Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with young children.
Owner response: Megan- Thank you so much for the kind words! We are very glad to hear your group enjoyed your stay and look forward to helping plan your next trip to the Cascade mountains!

This cabin is nice but it is a shared cabin with a renter that occupies the garage and downstairs. This was not at all what we expected and was never disclosed to us in our contract or any communication. We had no idea until we arrived and met the renter. (It's still not stated here where we found the place!) It is a nice place as you can see from the pictures but its a shared cabin with no use of the garage or parking. There was no place to store our equipment or to park our cars. The renter uses the garage as well as they park a van on the right hand side of the garage leaving only one spot for you to park. They also park a truck in a small spot on the left side of the property. Leaving only one spot on the far left side of driveway (as posted must leave room for cars to get out of garage). Because of this we had to keep our sledding and skiing equipment in the back of one car (other was a truck) that was a bit of a pain as we expected to leave that in garage. There is absolutely no room for any equipment or ski coats etc. in house so this was a pain not to have a place to put our stuff. We also had to follow quiet hrs for the cabin as well as hot tub (10:30). So if you plan on getting in the hot tub after the kids are sleeping you wont be able to do so here. It was also seemed awkward there was a renter below us and I had to keep telling the kids to keep the jumping around to a minimum as there is a renter below. Been a while since I have stayed in an apartment and didn't want to do it for my vacation. The owner and rental agency are very nice but they are not open about the shared cabin space and quiet hrs.which was very disappointing. ~TracyRecommended for: Tourists without a car, age 55+, pet owners.
Owner response: *By May 31st the lower unit will no longer be caretaker’s quarters and this will 6 bedroom 3 story rental to sleep up to 18 guests.* We are very sorry that Tracy was not 100% satisfied with her stay at our property. It’s unfortunate that most of the negative aspects of her stay were due to her misunderstanding of our posted polices and mis-communication about the property with caretakers that were occupying a basement (a completely separate basement apartment) at the time of her stay. To address the reviewers feedback: The outside quiet hours do not restrict guests from using the hot tub, we simply request that guests be respectful of neighbors and keep outside noise to a minimum after 10:30 in the evening. This request is not related to the caretaker’s unit below; they are fully aware that the vacation rental they live below may produce noise at times. All of our rental documentation received by this renter did refer to the fact that there are only 2 winter time parking spots available at the cabin for guests and that was the case at the time of Tracy’s rental (guests now have full use of the garage). We do acknowledge that although our company’s website stated that the caretaker occupies the lower unit, we overlooked conveying this on VRBO and for this we sincerely apologize. As soon as this renter brought that to our attention, we corrected the property description. As well, we've always provided more than adequate storage for ski equipment both in the entry mudroom and a designated area of the garage. I’m unsure why the renter did not feel that there was enough storage provided and we wish we would have be able to address this question for her during her stay. Had we been contacted directly at any point, we would have been available to help clarify and resolve these concerns and regret that all the guest’s questions were instead referred to other people in the area that were not aware of our policies. What’s most important to note is that as of May 31st 2013 there will no longer be onsite caretakers or tenants in the lower unit. Guests of Snoqualmie Chateau will have access to 6 parking spots, two of which are in the garage, and the lower 2 bedroom unit will be offered as a rental option for parties of more than 10. Once this conversion is complete in May, the chateau will have 6 bedrooms, 5 bathrooms, two kitchens, two decks and will accommodate up to 18 guests!!
