Why the Owner Chose Garden City Beach
The Garden City beach area is mainly houses so the beach is very quiet and and offers lots of space for relaxing and playing. The view from the porches on the house is breathtaking as you can see for miles up and down the beach. The sunrises on the ocean are fantastic and you can view sunsets on the marsh from the porch areas.
The Unique Benefits at this House
The oceanfront pool, kiddie pool, hot tub, and outdoor kitchen are great for relaxing and grilling by the ocean. If you like to fish, there is a nearby marina which also has a great restaurant. The grocery stores and restaurant row are a short drive away. We try to provide a memorable vacation experience and we are always open for comments and suggestions.
Owner's Map of Garden City Beach
We have vacationed with our family in this area for several years. We built this house in June 2006 to accomodate our growing family. We love the beach and enjoy walking, tennis, and golfing. We are relief pharmacists and live in upstate SC in Anderson. When we are not working, we escape to the beach for fun, food, and relaxing as well as performing maintenance checks and improvements on our house. We try to have the house in excellent condition for each guest and the fully equipped kitchen allows you to cook for family and friends. We love relaxing in the hot tub at the end of the day and in the evening under the moonlight and stars. We hope you will visit our house each year and make more Footprints in the Sand.

Words cannot describe how much this week has meant to me and my family. I began looking for a beach house in September of 2009 for my wedding. I came down here and found several houses but this is the house my parents picked. On Sunday, Setember 5, 2010, I married my best friend of 9 years on the beach in front of this house. Thank you so much for allowing our families to come together for such an occasion. This is a beautiful beach home and we truly enjoyed it. On the day of my wedding after the "I do's", my 78 year old grandfather in a wheel chair found a nickel where I was standing. He gave me the nickel and explained the significance of it as I watched tears roll down his face. I then realized that the nickel was made the year I was born (1984). I believe that the significance of the nickel and the name of the house "Footprints in the Sand" were 2 gifts from all of my loved ones who were in heaven looking down on us that day. I will never forget "Footprints in the Sand" and what it means to me and my new husband....Thanks again!

This is undoubtedly the best house. Ever. We had a girl from Louisiana here who gets to go home twice a year. When it was time to take her to the airport, we practically had to sedate her to get her to leave the house. We had to drag the kids to get out of the sweet pool and my hands are pruned from the hot tub as I am writing this. Thank you very much for being kind enough to lend us your home. It truly was amazing and I will take many memories for a long time from this. Many thanks.

Special thank you for sharing your home with us. When my mom called me in January and said they found "the house", we all became very excited. She said "it is named Footprints in the Sand".....tell me that's not a GOD thing. Unfortunately, she passed away a few weeks later (2/16/10) from her battle with cancer. So this trip has been very surreal for us and my dad. I brought her picture and set it on the kitchen bar all week so she could delight in seeing her grandkids, nieces, nephews, and children delight in all this magical place had to offer. A friend once told me that when my children are laughing, be still......because she is there. May God bless you!

We started out with a small group of 7 but thankfully ended up with a perfect group of 15 ranging in ages 70 down to a couple of 1 year olds. We all agreed that this was a fantastic, restful, peaceful, and FUN-filled beach vacation. This house is very roomy, the pool is lovely, and of course, BEACH access is awesome!!
