This is an excellent vacation property, away from the heavy tourist hassles but readily accessible to everything Maui has to offer. The house is well done and maintained in first class shape, secluded within a border of palms, with its own swimming pool and landscaped grounds. A great place for a family or group stay. Highly recommended.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway.

You will find the Maui Dolphin is everything you need for a perfect vacation. It is the perfect base camp for your island exploration. Our trip was non stop activities, with early to rise listening to exotic birds, to snorkeling and shopping, and late night walks. Unlike crowded resorts, the Maui Dolphin offers you your own slice of paradise, with all the privacy one could ask for. You will find this home very spacious and comfortable and worth every penny. Our family of 9 just returned from a 9 day stay at this rental property. Cory was awesome to deal with prior to and when we arrived was waiting to make sure we settling in with no problems. The house was beautiful and the pool was delightful and perfect for relaxing around. The location is nice - away from the hustle & bustle but close enough for a quick zip down to Kihei or a casual stroll over to Wailea. The house was completely stocked with what we needed and others had left behind some staples items. Safeway was only a 5-10 minute drive away. It was probably a 10-15 walk to the beach - with lights to cross the highway. Upon arrival the house was very clean and we only had a few 'friends' visit us - our nightly sunset watching on the lanai was great entertainment for us as we watched the geckos - seeing 6 in one evening. Only a couple got into the house but they were easy to get out. No big ugly bugs with the exception of 2 roaches but no problems with them. We took in many attractions that were easy driving distance (under 1 hour) - Blue Hawaiian Helicopter Tour (EXCELLENT), Pacifice Whale Foundation Eco Tour (got very upclose to the whales), Maui Ocean Center (great family day), Atlantis Submarine, Blue Water Rafting Snorkle Tour (got within 5 feet of the Turtles), Old Lahaina Luau (kinda cheesy but good). There was more to see & do than we could get to. We all agreed that we'd be back to Maui and if we returned would definately stay again at the Maui Dolphin House. We'd all highly recommend this home for any vacationers! There was 7 adults & 2 kids and we were more than comfortable with ample room.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, families with young children, girls getaway, adventure seekers.

About the owner: My name is Cory and my wife is Tiffany. I was a professional tour guide for many years before coming to Maui where I met Tiffany who is a school teacher at Maui Charter School. We live in the Ohana (small house) and take care of the Maui Dolphin House.
Why the Owner Chose Private Homes:
My mother and father purchased this property with the intent of retiring here someday. They own an appliance store on another Island in the Pacific Northwest and visit several times a year.
They chose this location over 7 others that they looked at because of the location and size of the property as well as the extensive landscaping. The fact that it also had a pool was an added bonus.
The Unique Benefits at this House:
What makes this place unique is that it is in a very quite neighborhood that is very safe. This home sits at the back of the property, away from the road. We are less than a mile to the beach and 25 minuts to the airport.
