My husband and I enjoyed staying in this apartment that overlooks the colloseum. It is a bit small but perfect for two people. The terrace is the best part, especially at night when the colloseum is lit up. The neighborhood is non-touristy and felt like a more authentic experience than the city center. The beer bar across the street is awesome and the restaurant just up the street is good and cheap - unlike so many others. I would stay here again.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, sightseeing, romantic getaway, tourists without a car.

The apartment was perfect and in a great location. We were able to walk very easily to the ancient roman sites. Alessandro was extremely helpful. He met us to show us all the features of the apartment and gave us lots of tips for the area. The view from the balcony is incredible both day and night! We had a wonderful time in Rome and would highly recommend this apartment and Alessandro's hospitality.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, sightseeing, romantic getaway, tourists without a car.

A bright, sunny, small apartment that had a great location. It also had air conditioning and was a haven for us from the hot Rome summer. The apartment is a bit "tired" but great value.Recommended for: Sightseeing, romantic getaway.

We LOVED this place. All the reviews written are correct, and all photos truly show the apartment. It was very clean and the bed was comfortable. Perfect location, great communication ahead of time, and there was a nice supply of travel books. It was so nice to be able to sit on the deck in the fresh air, or close everything up and relax in the a/c. There are restaurants and a nice market only a couple of blocks away. The internet worked great, and there was a tv to keep up on then news. Best way to get there from FCO is to buy a ticket from terravision - ticket office is in Terminal 3. The bus ticke is only 5 euros to get to the main train station, and then less than 10 euros by taxi to the apartment. The Roma pass is ideal. This includes 2 free visits to your 1st choice sights, it gets you to the front of the line, gives you discounts on other sites and includes metro and bus for 3 days. I highly recommend this apartment. It would be my first choice if I return to Rome again. Thank you so much. My husband and I stayed in this apartment for four nights this past week in July. Irina met us at the agreed-upon time, showed us around and left us the keys. It was nice to stay in a place that wasn't a hotel for a change- where you have the freedom to come and go and no one is cleaning up after you immediately. This gem was a nice relief after travelling all over Italy all week- cozy, but comfortable. Perfect for one or two people. The bed was comfortable, and the air conditioning was heaven sent after staying so many places without! The view of the Colosseum out the kitchen window and the balcony is magical! The apartment was clean and useful. Cable TV was available, although we hardly used it, as the only channels en English were the news, as to be expected. Bus and metro lines are conveniently close, although we walked to several sites. Irina was even nice enough to call and arrange a car for us for transport to the airport. It was a nice, comfortable stay, and I would recommend it to others. A nearby restaurant is recommended to avoid the touristy spots- Naumachia was a very good experience and only a block away!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, sightseeing, romantic getaway, tourists without a car.

We spent nearly a week here during our stay in Italy. Irina met us and got us oriented with maps, directions to the nearest market. She also arranged for taxi transport to the airport on our departure. As others have noted, the location cannot be beat. I was surprised at how quiet it was considering the location. Everything worked (I really appreciated the air conditioning). Many restaurants nearby. We walked most places and took the metro (Colosseo stop) elsewhere. A number of buses go through this area as well. The little electric bus 117 was fun to ride and because it took the smaller streets, was good for sightseeing as well.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, sightseeing, tourists without a car, age 55+.

We were referred to Alessandro's apartment rental by friends who had stayed there, a huge help after trying to wade online through dozens of apartments available in Rome. We were not disappointed. The process with Alessandro was easy and reassuring, he set up a car to pick us up from the airport and we were met there and given detailed instructions on the place. The apartment was perfect- compact and comfortable. We made great use of the terrace, perfect for sunset dinner and wine after a long day of exploring. The kitchen was handy for making light meals, for making first coffee of the day and is generally well equipped. There are a number of shops and a small fresh street market with wonderful produce within a two block radius for picking up supplies, and a fantastic gelataria one block away. A wash and fold service is located nearby, very expensive, but clean and pressed clothes can enhance a vacation experience. We found the apartment to be very handy to seeing sights- it was nice to be in the center of things, a few minute walk to the Coliseum and the Forum and the Coliseum Metro station. Termini station is a half hour walk, or a very easy metro ride, handy for day trips to Pompeii, Ostia Antica or Orvieto. We look forward to returning, and would rent this apartment again. It was our home away from home for 9 days, and we have the fondest of memories!Recommended for: Sightseeing, romantic getaway, tourists without a car, girls getaway.

Wow! Just got back from Rome and wanted to drop a note to recommend Alessandro's place. It was so convenient. We actually chose this place because of the picture (the one from the deck facing the Colosseum), but I think the actual value of this place is the proximity to the sites we wanted to see. We ended up walking almost everywhere, except the Vatican. I think by walking we covered almost everything we wanted to see in 4 days and some unexpected things we may not have found if we had taken buses (even though the buses provided quite the experience as well). We didn't rent a car and don't have any regrets--the place is ideally situated for people with even reasonable mobility--buses close by and great places to eat right in the nice little neighborhood. Great place that we would recommend to anyone who needs a place to crash and relax at the end of a long day. It would probably be too small for any more than a couple or anyone who wants to spend a bunch of time in their room. I would definitely recommend this to any of our friends! Thanks Alessandro!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, sightseeing, romantic getaway, tourists without a car, age 55+.

Loved this apartment! It was the perfect choice for my husband and me to spend a week in Rome. Great food at the little pizza places in the neighborhood. We loved the wine and pasta shop right across the street, the local fruit vender, and small grocery store in the next block. Since Romans eat dinner at 9PM, we made most of our meals in the small, but very well equipped kitchen. What a view as you prepare dinner with glass windows all around, overlooking the rooftops of the neighborhood and the Coliseum beyond. We are walkers and went many places on foot, but also found the buses to be quite useful. We did buy a Roma Pass which we used to enter three museums and enabled us to have unlimited bus travel for those three days. The bed was large and comfortable. The hosts left a nice assortment of food for us to enjoy, bacon, eggs, fruit, and bread for toast with jam and butter. They also arranged a driver from the airport for 38 Euro. When we got through luggage claim he was there with a sign. Made the transfer to the apartment very easy. It also helped that the weather was warm and sunny all six days so we could use the balcony for dining. We did not expect that for the first week in November. It might be a bit cramped if the weather was bad and one couldn't do that. You would then have to eat at the desk, which was usually covered with our guide books and laptop. I would highly recommend this apartment. It is small but very efficient.Recommended for: Sightseeing, romantic getaway, tourists without a car, age 55+.
