"5 adults just returned from an amazing week at Casa Beya for 2 birthdays! It was amazing, relaxing and felt like a home away from home. The dock is the place we hung out the most when we were at the house. The breeze is heavenly and the hammocks so comfy for an afternoon nap. The house has bikes, a kayak and paddleboards for entertainment or getting around and the water was warm and soothing. The property felt very private and is just perfect. We even had several visits from a beautiful iguana that hung out on the deck.
Martin and Diana were wonderful and made us feel at home. Booking and changes were made very easy by the owner, as well as billing and information. The owner and the caretakers are very amenable to customize your stay.
We did not rent a car and taxis are easy to arrange, however, I do recommend a car. It might be a bit cheaper in the end, depending on how often you go somewhere.
I would absolutely stay here again and wish I was still there now! Thank you to Midge, Diana, and Martin for a wonderful birthday week!"

"We had an incredibly relaxing and enjoyable week at Barnacle Bills. We spent most of our time eating, drinking and hanging out under our very own beach huts. Some great restaurants, bars and a bowling alley within walking distance. The way the bungalos are built make for a perfect breeze flowing through the house. Not to mention waking up to the gorgeous sunrise. We enjoyed our daily morning coffees chatting with Bill. Bill and Adriane were very helpful hosts and we hope to go back!"

"This was the perfect venue for rest and relaxation from a high pressure career. The Treetop Villa was perfect for our visit. Cocoplum had 24/7 security and was very quiet. Exactly what we needed. We chilled at the beach across the street every day and used Cocoplum as our base for exploring this beautiful country. We toured the Reef and Silk Cay with Nite Wind Tours recommended by our host, Aaron. Great time with Tiger and Tipa. Tiger named almost 50 different fish while snorkeling and Tipa cheffed up a great barbecue for lunch. The Toledo District was awesome. The Punta Gorda Chocolate Street Festival was lively fun and Lubaatun Mayan Ruins were just too cool. The Mayan people and villages are a fascinating culture. As are the Garifuna people. Placentia itself is the greatest place ever. When the World discovers this place, it will become the next Maui or Cancun (hope not!)
In short, we are re-charged and ready to go for another year in the States. But we will be back! Thanks Aaron and the Cocoplum Team. Bill, Sherri and the Boys."

"My wife and I spent the last 4 days of our honeymoon at this house and it was absolutely stunning.
The whole process went smoothly and and it was easy to find and Lus the property manager was waiting for us when we arrived.
The house is 3 levels split into a duplex and the other side was not occupied while we were there so we had the pool and beach completely to ourselves. A complete, private paradise. It may be worth noting that the property immediately next door is being built on and soon there will be close neighbors however there are some trees and vegetation so the pool and beach will retain some of their privacy.
Maya beach was only a few miles down the road and has a few great restaurants and the small town of Placencia is about a 25 minute drive away. Yvonne provided a list of some great restaurants in the area and some things to do.
Because of the more private location you pretty much have to rent a car and for the 2 weeks that we had planned on being there it cost over $1000. I had booked it in advance but didn't realize there is at least one other rental company on the peninsula so I don't know if it would be possible to get a better rate at all.
Placencia is small and Maya beach is smaller so if you are into city bright lights and night life somewhere else may be more your style. I personally loved the private tranquility and the small town feel. We drove into Placencia every day we were there and after only a couple days it feels like you start to get to know people. There are also a ton of snorkeling, scuba diving, and jungle expedition tours that are available and run every day so if you are a more adventurous type there is no shortage of things to do.
Unfortunately for us, my wife got a call that her grandpa got rushed to the hospital and we had to cut our trip short and book the next flight out of Belize. Because of this we were not able to take full advantage of all there was to do and I really wanted to hire the private boat that people have hired in the past and it came highly recommended.
Probably my favorite thing to do was just lying on the hammock outside reading, listening to the ocean surf and breeze through the palm trees, swatting the occasional fly and sipping on a cold bottled Coke.
Seabreeze Villa is a fantastic getaway with a lot of options for different types of vacations and I really hope that we can return soon!"
