  • Bargain Beach House

"This house on the water was a bargain for the view and location. The owner and his father were very responsive to us and accommodating. We had a problem with the AC freezing up and they came right over to fix it. It was hot outside of the bedrooms, but we knew to expect that from the other reviews. It is very loud on the weekend- earplugs/fan for white noise a must. This house is a great location for all the excursions we went on- whether to San Juan or to the southern coast. We did get to view a concert at the beach from out balcony Monday night which was an added bonus. We never actually went to the "beach"- 5 minute walk- but rather stayed at our area in front on the house. IF you love seaglass like I do- you will be amazed at what you can collect! Every wave brings a few pieces. If we ever go back to Puerto Rico- we will definately stay there!"

  • Beautiful Beachfront Home Away from Home W/ Art Gallery Appeal

"Room was good. Could not use shower first night as you have to pull some ring under the spout to get shower going. They should have posted how to use the shower. Tv did not have sound till I figured it out, after many hours. Called owner, but he advised me to contact rental people. You would thing an owner would know how to use a tv, but oh well, figured it out. Beach was great, and a short walk, till the key to get to the beach was changed and we had to walk to the rental office to get a new one. The said the owner should have provided a key. would stay in Playa azul again, but would want a bigger condo."

  • Wonderful Stay at #210607

"Six adults spent a week at this beautiful condo in the Marbella section of Palmas Del Mar. This third floor (there is an elevator in the complex) condo is beautiful, and has all amenities you will need. Kitchen is well equipped, full refrigerator with ice maker, towels for both shower and poolside use, boogie boards, washer and dryer to name just a few items. Two of the bedrooms have king sized beds. The third bedroom has two twin beds. They have a den with a pull out sofa as well. There are two balconies, one large off the living room/dining area and a second smaller one off the second bedroom. Both have spectacular views and wonderful breezes. We were there in February and never had a bug problem. There are two pools that with the Marbella section. One that is smaller and mostly shaded and another large, three level pool with plenty of comfortable chairs. Small round tables and large tables with umbrellas are also at these pools. There is no life guard, the pool doesn't get more than 4 feet deep. For children there is a Beach Club but can't use it on weekends or holidays. Monday thru Friday you can use it but there is a $15 per person fee. We were all adults and really didn't need or want to use this area. If you had children you would probably like it as it has a small water park area with slides. Note there is a beach bar and a restaurant at the Beach Club that you do not have to pay the fee to go too. The restaurant is Ok for a lunch and serves the same food at the beach bar which is right on the ocean. The beach area has been washed away a bit since last year so don't expect a long wide beach area. We did swim a lot in the ocean and it has firm sandy bottom and is shallow for quite a ways out. We had a lot of wave action while their and had a blast boogie boarding. If you have children you do have to be careful at times there was a strong undertow. We had a car so got around the Palmas complex by car but A LOT of people have golf cars and get around that way on the designated golf paths. There are at least 15 restaurants on site; some good some just OK. We enjoyed the Beer Garden restaurant near the plaza, and the Tapas restaurant and Chez Daniel on the other side of the marina. Since we had a car we ventured out several times to explore the island. We always felt safe. The Owners were great to work with patiently answering our questions. He also gave us his phone to call if problems while on site."

  • Nice place to stay

"Really nice home in a good location. We were not familiar with the island but wanted to stay a few days away from San Juan, I randomly selected this place and took a chance. We loved the location which is walking distance from what appeared to be the main street in Aguada which had several restaurants to choose from. We did not make use of the beach because when we were around it seemed to be high tide, however just a few blocks away we were able to find the public beach access which had plenty of sand to lay out on. The apartment was clean and spacious. Plenty of extra pillows and blankets if needed. We really enjoyed our stay. Thank you!"

Arecibo Travel Tips

Arecibo Vacation Rentals Available in the Diamond of the North

One of the most interesting aspects of the Puerto Rican town Arecibo is that it is one of the oldest towns on the island. It was first settled in 1556 and was founded in 1616. Situated on the northern coast of Puerto Rico, this historical city is often referred to as "The Diamond of the North."

If you are interested in spending your time away in "The Diamond of the North," then consider making use of one of the available Arecibo vacation rentals. By staying in one of the Arecibo vacation rentals, you will be able to experience the town like a local instead of like a tourist.

Sun and Sand in Arecibo

In addition to enjoying the beautiful architecture in Arecibo, those taking advantage of Arecibo vacation rentals will also want to be sure to make use of the beaches in the area. Beaches in the area include Los Negritos Beach, Los Morillos Beach, Poza del Obispo Beach, and Las Tunas Beach. Arecibo travel plans should absolutely include time at the beach.

Instead of returning to a stuffy hotel room after hours enjoying the sun and water, enjoy the space available in one of the Arecibo vacation rentals. Kick your sun-tanned feet up. Lounge with a book and a good snack while your swimwear and beach clothes tumble in the dryer.

Glittering Nightfall

While the town lights may glitter in The Diamond of the North, spending a few nights of your trip in can be just as enjoyable as going out to dinner. The Arecibo vacation rentals come equipped with kitchens where you can try your hand at making local dishes using ingredients purchased from markets in town or you can prepare comfort food and family favorites. This is true for both privately owned rentals and villas that can be rented at Puerto Rico resorts in Arecibo. You'll also be able to relax over dinner, clear the dishes at your leisure, and thoroughly enjoy the evening.
