  • Absolutely Awesome Apartment

"My husband and myself stayed at F&F's apartment for 1 week over the course of our daughter's wedding to a young Frenchman she met while studying in Tours. The apartment exceeded all our expectations, to say the least! We visited Tours in 2009 and when the wedding was planned we knew we wanted to stay in the Place Plumereau area. We were thrilled to find the apartment was only about 1 block from the heart of Place Plumereau rather than the 2-3 we thought it was by the map of the area! Location, location, location..with none of the noise you might expect. We hosted get-togethers with both the French and Canadian guests/family and all wondered if we had secretly won the lottery! Absolutely beautiful, with all the amenities you could want. Both owers and the housekeeper were very helpful the one time we contacted them during our stay. We were only about a 15 min walk to Cathedral St. Gatien, 10 min tram ride to downtown Tours, 20 min drive to Amboise, 30 min to Chateau Villandry and some wineries. Absolutely perfect. We would definitely recommend this to friends and relatives...ideed our daughter and her new husband would love to stay here whenever they come back to Tours!"

  • Perfect rental in the Loire Valley

"When we pulled into Noizay village and noticed the beautiful manor house on the hill, we couldn't believe our GPS was leading us to it. Even more perfect was the stone "guest house" next to the manor where we spent 6 idyllic days. The downstairs was open and airy and we let the huge French doors stay open half the time to bring in the breeze and make it easy to access the patio - it felt like true, indoor/outdoor living. The upstairs master bedroom was extremely comfortable and all of the facilities were top notch ... there was even a heated towel rack! Noizay might not be a terribly exciting village but the house is within easy driving distance to Amboise (great restaurants) and Vouvray (excellent wine) and you can make day trips to nearly all of the region's chateaux easily from here. If you like walking, don't miss out on the town's two walking trails (13km and 16km) that leave from both the front and back edges of the property and take you on beautiful rambles through the vineyards. I think we walked some part of these trails every evening after dinner. The house is a gem and so were Claude and Francine. Incredibly kind and welcoming, they even gave us a tour of the large manor house and the wine cellar - the old press was amazing! Our three-year-old loved the big yard with the slide and kids' toys. For our family of five, this was an amazing experience and we would love to return. Merci beaucoup, Claude et Francine, pour un sejour tres tres agreable!!"

  • A very special holiday apartment

"You are always a little nervous when you book a holiday home over the internet but you really have nothing to worry about with this lovely apartment. The booking process was easy with paypal for security and I also telephoned Veronique who spoke really good English and was able to provide lots of information. Etienne welcomed us to the apartment and was really helpful, providing us with information about where to visit eat etc and he even took us to his local garage and translated for us when we had car trouble. The apartment also has so many books about the local area and the Chateaux which were very useful. The apartment is truly lovely - we travelled with my daughter , son, and his girlfriend all in their late teens, early twenties and we were all delighted. The apartment is right beside the castle with lovely views from all of the bedroom windows of the castle and the loire. I spent quite a long time looking out of the windows admiring the view during the week. The rooms are all really spacious and the furnishings fit so well with this lovely old house. The bedding was also lovely and crisp. There are also 2 bathrooms and a separate loo which make it much easier for a large family. There is also a lovely little garden to enjoy the sunshine. My children also really enjoyed having wifi. The location of the apartment is also really good being just a few minutes walk from the lovely centre with all its cafe's restaurants and shops so after a day sight seeing it was easy to stroll to the centre for something to eat without having to worry about driving. There were restaurants also to suit all budgets. During the week we visited the Chateau in Amboise, Clos Luce ( home of Leonardo da Vinci), Chambord and Chenonceau and the lovely Beauval Zoo. There are so many places within easy reach you will have trouble choosing and the roads weren't busy even in the school summer holidays. We all feel really lucky to have found such a lovely place and have no hesitation in recommending it to you. Thank you Etienne and Veronique for sharing your lovely home with us."

  • Wonderful place to stay

"We had a delightful stay in this comfortable apartment which is in one wing of the house. Mrs Faccini was very welcoming and made us feel at home straight away. The spacious kitchen/dining room was our favourite room. The shabby chic furniture and pastel colours all fit in very well with the ambiance of the property. The house is well located for visiting some of the chateaus in the Loire valley and only a mile or two from Chenonceau, which was our favourite. It was a bit too cold for swimming, but next time we hope to go back in the summer and take advantage of being able to swim in the pool. For us the highlight of our stay was the excellent meal which Mrs Faccini cooked for us one evening - she is a superb cook and wonderful hostess."
