"My wife and I stayed here following our daughters wedding Saturday. It was also a belated anniversary for us due to her wedding. We arrived to find a most peaceful and comfortable place nestled at the end of the driveway, away from the road , and right on the water. It is awesome here and is decorated like you would if you lived here, very homey and has that feel that you have been here forever. I simply love this place and will absolutely be here again. I will actually start using it when I come to the Mobile area for work so my wife can join me and I can come HOME to a restful place instead of a hotel. The owners are very attentive to all of your needs as it is well thought out to have everything you could want or need, Thanks guys, totally loving it here!"

"Kate's Place is a great place to stay. I rented it for my family that was coming in from MO for my son's wedding! The kids got to enjoy the water thanks to the owners allowing us access to their pier. Got to enjoy some awesome sunsets. The house was very cozy and comfortable. We enjoyed each evening on the patio. Very private and close to everything. I would definitely recommend Kate's Place to anyone needing to stay in Fairhope. Thanks again for such an enjoyable stay."

  • Like visiting my grandmothers house

"That's what my DIL said. when visiting! This is a great place for a couple of kids...cornhole. walks up and down even saw the end of a jubilee...hundreds of baby flounder! Loved the dining room ,kitchen, beds. I had a hard time finding a comfortable chair to watch the good Tivo setup. A pier would be nice but we knew it did not have one. 7 minutes to town and all that Fairhope has to offer, Leslie was fab to work with...even mailed some items left behind to us."

  • Awesome Multi-generational fun!

"I can't say enough great things about Marchand House, we just returned from a week there and just hated to leave! We brought our infant twins and their Grandparents as well as my cousin and a few aunts...the place is BIG! The house is great - comfortable, very nice decor, well appointed and without that sterile rental house feeling. It is like staying in the home of your super fun, well off family friend. There are plenty of places to hang out inside and outside. Everybody loved the giant hot tub and made it even better with the indoor/outdoor speakers, great seating area and outdoor lighting. We also loved taking the kids down the dock every day and having cocktails and watching the sun set. One afternoon dolphins came right up to the edge of the dock! There are also lots of places inside to hang out, nice seating areas, 2 dining areas and a comfy living room. We were in town for a family wedding and it was just the perfect place for the family to spend time together when we were not going to parties etc. There are so many cool places to go on the scenic highway (not to meantion all of the great restaurants and shops in Fairhope), and although we had an excellent dinner at the Wash House (about 3 minutes away) one night, we really did not want to leave the house! It was just more fun to stay there and cook, drink wine and visit. The downside? I could never really figure out the cable TV channels but who wants to watch TV anyway? There is so much more to do. We already love Fairhope and the area but really enjoyed Marchand House and told Tena the owner that we look forward to returning every year! If you have even a small family, this is the perfect house...for the price of just 2 hotel rooms (or one at the Grand!) it is the perfect place to host your family and totally worth it!"
