Nature Lovers Paradise
"If you want a quiet, serene location with big views that just don't quit, this is it. Words can not truly express this oasis. The owner is an experienced gardener, no need to go see the desert plant botanical gardens, as it is all right here for you to enjoy in the yard hour after hour. Plus the Tonto park starts right where the backyard ends, so the back yard really never ends until it finds the mountains in all directions miles away. Literally thousands of cacti in any direction you look.
Nature walks start at your back door with easy walking, biking, and hiking trails. More challenging trails can be found too. Bird life abounds here, with regular hummingbird visits all day. Lots of wildlife to see for those with a keen eye, always something moving or making sounds so you always have something to entertain you.
Plenty of room and privacy in the spacious house for everyone, with tons of windows to enjoy the views. Ample decorations throughout to allow you to browse like a museum. Kitchen is well equipped with practically every tool you could need. Bedrooms are spacious with comfortable beds. There are no street lights in the neighborhood, so it is dark at night, but there is plenty of outdoor ambient lighting to make for short strolls around the property, with star gazing country style.
Night life is crickets and coyote howls, with back yard sunsets that go on for hours.
The back yard is sloped with flat areas, and nice brick pathways down to the pool and spa areas. Some might find the slope to much if you are not sure footed. With the amount of cacti little ones which have not learned to not touch will be teary eyed.
Lots of groceries and restaurants to choose from starting about 20 minutes away, so a car is a must.
We found it hard to leave, and we want to come back, repeatedly."

"First of all, we can't say enough about the owner Mary Beth. She is absolutely an amazing person and very gracious host. Mary Beth was very attentive to any needs we had, yet respected our privacy. You will love this townhouse with the high ceilings, patios, gas fireplace and beautifully decorated with southwestern charm. We found the townhouse to be in perfect order and well furnished. Because it is at the end of a dead end road, it is very peaceful and you are literally one block from the shops and restaurants in Cave Creek. There is so much to do in the area with all the hiking, art fairs and festivals, shopping, etc.. I am a marathoner and found the morning runs out Spur Cross road and to the trails very spiritual. We enjoyed the excellent live music at Janey's and Harold's in Cave Creek just to name a few. This place is the perfect combination of relaxation and exploration. The views, amenities and owner are 1st rate. We will most definitely stay here again."

"My wife and I, who have visited this area several times, decided for this trip to rent a house in the desert. We both are nature seekers and found this wonderful home to be exactly what the doctor ordered for winter weary bones. Deer, rabbits, an abundance of birds including raptors, visited our backyard vista on a daily basis. We became so familiar with the ten or so deer that we almost named them. One morning, my wife and I viewed a coyote very quickly traversing the wash that runs past the back fence.
If you are after quiet, a lovely home with a comfortable southwestern feel, then you have found your vacation. And the pool, despite the cool weather, was pleasantly heated and a nice place to relax."

"My family stayed for a week in this beautiful home. The pictures don't do it justice. It was a pleasant surprise to see the kitchen well stocked with all the essentials along with beverages and snacks. We spent our days hiking locally and used it as our base camp for Sedona and the Grand Canyon. Spent quiet and relaxing evenings on the outdoor patio with the fire roaring. Tim was responsive and extremely helpful, the ideal host. We hope we can get back again soon."
