  • One of our favorite places to stay in the US

"I normally do not write reviews on any site. After reading the one partially negative review, I felt this was important. We travel frequently and always rent houses from vrbo that are pet friendly and include amenities that we enjoy. We have rented this property every year for many years. I can not imagine renting another place in Key West or trying to stay in a hotel or guest house. Everything thing we could need or want in any rental is included. I am also selfish in the fact that this place is so unique in what it offers, I want it to be kept our secret, but the flip side is I want Sullins to make money year round:-) I am guessing based on the previous review, the owner, Sullins, took this all to heart. When we arrived this year, he had replaced all the appliances and made other improvements that I appreciate as a renter, but would have never stopped renting the place without. There are so many great restaurants within walking distance that we sometimes eat at 2 or more different restaurants every day without repetition. We have a parking space which is unheard of in Key West unless it is on the street and my mini van fits perfectly in the space. There is a spa around the corner we love for massages, and a great off leash dog park, about 1 mile walk from the house. I could continue my list, but I would run out of space. Thanks Sullins!"

  • What a great cottage in Key West!

"Myself, my partner, and my sister-in-law arrived in Key West to celebrate birthdays and visit with family. We were very pleased with the well appointed cottage, its convenient location to everything on the island, including a drug store with everything we needed for breakfast and coffee at the cottage not to mention the incredibly convenient A&M Rentals next door where we rented our bikes for our stay. The Pool and courtyard were fabulous and the staff could not have been nicer! We will definitely be back again soon! Thank you Key West Hideaways and Orchid Cottage!"

  • Quaint. Perfect Location.

"We spent 4 nights in the Caribbean Suite. Loved every minute. Plenty of room. Clean. Suite had everything we needed. Afternoon pool swims in private pool were a perfect break in the afternoon. Thanks for the hospitality! This was a great break from winter weather."

  • Great month at Casa Dulce Key West

"We have been vacationing in Key West for 18 years but this is the first time we were lucky enough to be able to rent a home for an entire month and bring our pets with us. Casa Dulce is a great little fully renovated "shotgun" house. Location on a tiny quiet lane right in Old Town close to restaurants and the KW cemetery could not have been better. The front porch right on the lane is a comfortable place to have a cup of coffee in the morning or a glass of wine in the evening. The enclosed back yard has a private free form pool, glass topped table (with a large umbrella and four chairs) and two loungers is a also a great place to hang out. The house is pretty well stocked with everything you may need: beach towels and regular bath towels, fairly nice stocked kitchen/laundry facilities ( although there were no dish towels, paper towels or "starter" laundry detergent- we had some of our own with us and simply used them), comfortable beds and linens. The house is not very large and the bedrooms and bathrooms are a bit tiny but we were absolutely fine with that. We were allowed to have guests stay with us but felt that having more than 2 other people with us a time would be a bit crowded in the house. The furniture is mostly comfortable (although the sofa in the back living area has seen better days). The loft area (which has 2 twin beds) is a bit challenging to access via very steep steps- not for someone with any kind of mobility issues for sure. But would be great for kids or someone who doesn't mind climbing the steps. The property included a full size clothes washer and dryer outside in the back yard. There is no off street parking included with Casa Dulce but we were able to find parking close by on Margaret Street (right by the old Harris School/Mangia Mangia restaurant). Mostly we left our car parked and either walked or bicycled everywhere. If we had any issues, Kevin the property manager was very quick to respond. E.g. The pool started to get quite cloudy and Kevin had the pool service come by very quickly and rectify the problem. But any issues were quite minor. Casa Dulce has a beach house feel to it which makes it pretty much perfect. Thank you Soren and Irene! We have already made our reservations to return for the month of March 2016!"
