  • Luxury Lakefront Condo in Duluth .. Winter Stay

"This is a beautiful property with quality furnishings that make it difficult to leave. The view is amazing as you watch Lake Superior Ore Freighters which seem almost within reach go in and out of Duluth Harbor. Cozy warm gas fireplace , flat screen televisions, luxury bathrooms and beds. The location is perfect. Close enough to Duluth, connected by Park., but of the downtown which can be a bit sketchy. Most of all the owners were exceptionally kind and accessible. I love Duluth and have stayed in every hotel and vacation rental. This was best."

  • Perfectly charming!!

"We found the quintessential "up north" cabin in Peace of Pine. We arrived to a spotless cabin and the most breathtaking view of fall colors out the cabin windows. We spent a spectacular day around the campfire and were treated to a multitude of Trumpeter Swans on the lake. It could not have been more perfect. We are coming back!!"

  • Beautiful and relaxing!

"The cabin description is very accurate. It is practically new, well maintained and very clean. The location was a little more remote than we expected, which was fine by us. We were thankful to arrive in daylight, it would have been difficult to find in the dark! Our GPS didn't recognize the trails after turning off the main drag and the road sign for the trail isn't visibly until you've been on it for a short distance. All basic supplies included (bed/bath/kitchen linens). Appliances pretty much new. There are a few games/DVDs/books but you probably want to bring some as well for rainy days. We bought groceries in Virginia on the way but Orr has all the basics, too. We had lake Winchester nearly to ourselves nearly the entire week! Fishing was great (we catch and release), we could hardly get our poles in the water before getting a bite. We had lots of bonfires and there was more than enough wood prepared and stacked nearby. The stars are phenomenal! We enjoyed the Vermillion Gorge hike and waterfalls and the Vince Shute Bear sanctuary. The Dam cafe in Orr wasn't bad. The Landing restaurant in Cook was quite yummy! The generator needed to be reset a few times but there were directions to follow. The owner Dave was very kind and helpful. He gave us directions and other information ahead of time and was available when we called with a generator question. There is some cell reception on the dock and in town but otherwise we were pretty well unplugged. I would recommend this property to family and friends."

  • Wish I had stayed longer

"I love this house. It's actually quite spacious. The 20 year old had what amounted to a separate apartment downstairs. I would stay here again and again if I lived closer."
