"My family and I just returned home after a wonderful week at Cottage on the Point. This house was the perfect getaway, quiet, comfortable, well equipped and the owners were very respectful and friendly. I recommend this house to any couple or family that would like the feel of being at home and yet discovering the many fun things to experience in Duluth. I really like the ability to vacation in a neighborhood environment and have the family connect by making meals, playing, swimming and kayaking on the lake and just being together in this historic and interesting house. This so much better than just squeezing into separate condos or hotel rooms and going to eat at a restaurant for every meal. We took the Vista Cruise tour, big red ore boat tour, hiked Gooseberry Falls and enjoyed eating at the Duluth Grill."

"The house is exactly as advertised and the owners were easy to work with. It is an older house but maintained perfectly fine. Our group of 7 (plus two dogs) was comfortable and the house had plenty of extra amenities that made us comfortable. We also thoroughly enjoyed the large maintained property. I would stay at this house again. We brought our fishing boat with us and were able to tie it to the dock although the bay is shallow. My only complaint is the 3 chain of lakes is below average fishing wise for Walleye. If you read enough reviews of the lake you will learn that and our week on the lake confirmed it. We also talked to numerous other fisherman and the DNR (we got stopped on the water) and they confirmed it as well. Don't come here for Walleye, go to another nearby lake instead. When we gave up on walleye, there were plenty of northern and small mouth to catch however and we did manage some of size. Overall, I'd say this is a great house in a great location for a family vacation with average to below average fishing."

"We had a very nice staying at this home on the lake. The three levels were great for three couples and two teenagers; we were able to go off to our separate floors to chill and not feel crowded. The deck was great for playing board games in the afternoon and we used the fire pit at night to wind down. Barb was easy to talk to and very informative about the home and the area. We can't wait to visit again."

"We stayed a week here for a family reunion and it was perfect! Everyone was comfortable and happy in the house. The house had everything we needed and all that we used was in good working condition. Kitchen was nice and clean and had plenty of place settings and cooking utensils, microwave, blender, coffeemaker, etc. The lake is beautiful and we enjoyed stargazing at night from the dock and from the deck. We didn't use the canoes, but did use the kayaks and had a blast paddling around the lake (BYO lifejacket is a good idea, though they did have some). House is on a quiet residential road, only about 10 minutes up the hill from Grand Marais, which is a fun town with restaurants, shops, outfitters, galleries, etc., right on Lake Superior. Overall, a great experience, we would happily return, thanks!"
