  • scenic and relaxing

"Lovely rustic winterized cabin in a beautiful location. It was very nicely set up with a great and well-equipped kitchen, wonderful stone fireplace, and exceptional scenic views all round. The place had evidently been closed up for stretches and there were issues with mold and mildew that troubled those in our party with allergies. There was also evidence of mice on the kitchen counter and in the bathroom but the problem was not significant and also not surprising given the location and age of the structure. The amazing setting and terrific amenities more than made up for these issues, however. It was not only a great jumping-off point for our adventures, but a great place to hang out as well. We would stay there again."

  • Great Place!

"This house is great! Was everything we were looking for. The dock overlooking Mill Pond was beautiful and peaceful. Loved to sit there and soak up the sun. Within walking distance of downtown, which was great, since we love downtown. Certainly will go back, maybe in the winter. Did have an issue upon arrival but the owners were very prompt in resolving the issue and we appreciate all they did! Thank you so much!"

  • Great Place to Get Away!

"We stayed here and had one of the best weeks of our summer! It was quiet, peaceful, and relaxing staying on what I feel is the best side of the lake. The dock and deck is where we spent the majority of the time. It was sunny on the dock early and shady on the deck which worked out perfectly. At night we finished the day on the deck cooking over the large outside wood fireplace. The fishing was great with enough sunnies to entertain the kids and enough bass for the adults. Swimming was easy with the deep-water dock and there were enough boats and swim toys for everyone. Although it rained on our last day, it was a perfect stay overall. We plan on making the trip back next year."

  • Perfect house for the 12 of us

"We decided to use the Canadian Thanksgiving weekend to catch up on some hiking that we missed out on during the summer. We were so happy to have been able to book this house for our large group which included 8 adults (including grandparents) and 4 younger teenagers. Everyone loved the historic character of the home as well as all the space and bathrooms which allowed for everyone to both come together (12 people comfortably sat at dining table) and find some alone space (sunrooms, etc.). We had a great fires in the fireplace in the evenings and found everything we needed in the kitchen. Wifi worked for everyone's devices. Now thinking of a possible weekend stay for some winter skiing and/or a longer stay during the summer. Everything is as pictured and actually better in real life. Highly recommend."
