"Our family arrived after long drives from Colorado and Minnesota. The home was very welcoming, with Christmas decorations too! We loved the fully stocked kitchen, amd appreciated the space around the island to gather. Most of all, the view! Julie was also very good to work with! Some day we would like to return!"

"What a hidden treasure. We wish we could stay for months! This would be a wonderful place for family get-togethers as well as couples and travelers. They have provided pretty much anything that you would need/want during your stay. Fully stocked kitchen. (except groceries, of course) Blankets, pillows w/cases, Sheets, Plenty of towels & washcloths. Granted the pictures may be a little old, not much has changed- Everything is still in working condition. Teenagers and kids would love all of the yard games that are available, and nightly campfires. We did hear a few gun shots, but come on- that is just part of the culture here. If you are looking for an authentic experience this is it. The pellet stove is great to keep out the chill at night, and the fan circulates air well during the day, but if you must be in a 70-75 degree atmosphere at all times, this is not for you. (Remember this is a tent structure, it will be warm in the sun) Seniors would appreciate there are only 5-6 stairs up the deck, with a sturdy support rail.
We did encounter some Rain/Thunderstorms during our second night, and The Yurt withstood these wonderfully. The rain was a bit loud, as with any tent. It was great to see the flashes of lightning through the skylight, as well as the stars when it was clear. We recommend The Yurt, will be booking again, and encourage you to as well."

"We had a wonderful time in this beautiful home. It was great to have so much room with such a large family. We had card games going upstairs and downstairs, someone playing pool and others watching TV all at the same time! It was also nice to have activities so close, some went snowboarding and others went to the rec center for a basketball game while others went shopping."

"A fabulous place to stay in a beautiful setting. Clean, quiet, and comfortable. A coffee pot in each room would be an awesome addition. Patty is always helpful and cheerful. It's our go-to place to stay in the beautiful black hills."
