  • I want to live here!

"We have been all over the USA during the past 3 months (on a road trip) staying in a combination of private properties (VRBO), hotels and motels and Texas was our 25th state. Our attempt to enjoy a restful two week vacation within a vacation, in busy Austin, may not have worked out so well if we had not found this gem of a property. This is easily the place where we have felt the most relaxed, comfortable and pleased with ourselves because we chose it. The 15-20 minute walk to the main drag on 6th and the quaint bars on Rainey Street is an ideal distance because allows you to party in town till the early hours and then retreat to the oasis of tranquillity that is the area surrounding this house. Perfect for those next day hangovers unless tweeting birds seriously annoy you. The tastefully furnished house has been covered in other reviews and I will just say that the look of the house from street level is really deceiving as the inside space is huge with what is virtually a whole separate apartment on the lower level (kitchen upstairs). Sharon is a most helpful and thoughtful owner who kindly left a selection of local Texas beers in the fridge for our arrival and it was a pleasure to rent from such a considerate lady. If I am ever lucky enough to take a vacation in Austin in the future I will be disappointed if this place is not available but I will understand why. n.b. There are other things to do in Austin than drink alcohol."

  • Had a great stay in Austin.

"We loved the condo and will stay again next time we are in Austin. Location is great. Close to downtown but not busy. Grounds and pool are quit and well kept. The codo was spotless and in great shape. Kitchen had all the necessisary pots, pans, coffee maker, etc. Beds were comfortable, even the pull out was nice. Owner, Stephanie, was very accommodating. Overall great experience."

  • A gem in Northwest Hills

"My sister just accepted a job in Austin so I came with her for a few days to do an apartment search. We absolutely loved this home. While quiet and residential, it was also very close to all the major routes we used in our travels. The home was lovely and well maintained and the owners were gracious hosts. I agree with an earlier reviewer who said the photos don't do it justice. We also loved the neighborhood and enjoyed our encounters with the deer population. I rent a lot on VRBO and this was one of my best experiences."
