"We had a great time here. Very comfy outdoor lounge chairs, seating for the fit pit, picnic table near the stainless gas grill. Lush green lawn and pretty flower surround the cottage. Beds were all comfy and fans in all the bdrms. Well stocked kitchen with window air conditioning and overhead fan. Large flat screen TV. Close to Canada and New York. We did a lot of sightseeing. But best of all were the sunsets!!! The lake was great for swimming, kyaking and of course, fishing. Thank you Linda"

"This property is truly amazing. The views are incredible. The amazing rock formation/ledge behind the house is so unique and provides the most wonderful place to enjoy the serenity of the Lake Champlain. The view of the Palisades is also just to the right and was an unexpected and delightful surprise. You can even make out the waterfalls! The house itself is of course, very old, and with that comes some of what you'd expect in a more mature dwelling. Don't expect typical modern conveniences (like lots of outlets or a totally bug free place--you're on the water after all at a lake house!) The bathrooms are pretty dated too. Overall, the home was quaint and nice-- although, it's second place compared to the 1st place views offered here. You should note that at the time of this writing, the guest cottage uses lake water (unlike the main house) so our family who stayed there bought bottled water to drink. Overall, a great trip! The views will remain in my memory forever!"

"In July, 2015 nine women graduates of a small liberal arts college in the Midwest (Central College, Pella, Iowa) gathered for a week at Barney Point to celebrate fifty years of friendship. The house was perfect!....long table on a screened-in porch for lobster dinners, large kitchen island for lingering over coffee and breakfast and a beautiful lawn with comfortable seating and a fire pit for enjoying gorgeous views of Lake Champlain, the Adirondacks, and sunsets. We spent many hours on the lawn sharing memories and the joys and trials of our lives. We enjoyed Lake Champlain for kayaking and swimming, the bike path for biking and walking, and proximity to Burlington, Shelburne and other places of interest in this part of Vermont. It was a perfect week! Thank you, MacKenzie family, for sharing your treasured “camp.”"
