  • Beautiful views of Lake Michigan

"Clay Banks retreat is a lovely home on a nice, quiet road. The house is clean and comfortable, with nice fluffy towels in the bathrooms and a well-stocked kitchen. The home and yard are even nicer in person than the photos. The yard is spacious and the yard games, including basketball, were a lot of fun. The hot tub with the built-in stereo was the best! Would have loved to have had the use of the washer and dryer. We had a very peaceful and enjoyable stay."

  • WINTER WEEKEND GETAWAY

"There were eight or nine friends that got together, for a long weekend,to help break up this very long, cold winter..The place was Great ! Very clean,Big yet cozy (three fireplaces) The beds were very nice..even the fold out couch, was comfortable (flex-steel) Although we were all together, there was plenty of room, for privacy, with two separate living areas, both with fireplaces..and two separate dining areas..or "gaming" table areas. Also close to towns, winery's,and just a good place, for gathering.. We really had a great time, and I would like to Thank You Carol, for all your prompt responses to emails, for the privacy, and just for sharing, your very nice Door County Home with us. • Nicely equipped and secluded

"We had a group of 9 in this clean spacious cabin. We were very pleased with the way the house was laid out and the amenities. From little things like lots of towels and linens and lots of hooks to hang towels and gear, to the kayaks and canoes that are included. Kitchen was well equipped and the 2 refrigerators worked well for food and drinks. We appreciated the quality dry firewood provided (honor system payments). It is nice paddle down the river to the lake (and the eagle's nest). We caught a bucket full of crawfish for dinner in the river by hand and they were the best we had ever had (including 'Nawlins). Lots of wildlife to see including river otters, herons, kingfisher, loons and more. If you are into biking the roads and trails are perfect for hybrids or mountain bikes. The property is on a peninsula / bend in the river and you cannot see the neighbors. Definitely recommended."

  • Great Family Vacation

"LOVED THIS PLACE.... We had a wonderful time. The cabin is very spacious and Rest Lake is a great body of water. Fishing was great, we even have a video of an Eagle catching a fish. Everything you need is there, you are so close to the town of Manitowish Waters. (the town pretty much closes down at 8pm so if you need something make sure you go before 8) I almost don't want to give it such a great review so we can keep this place to ourselves. The boathouse roof was the perfect spot for morning coffee and the swimming area by the dock is very sandy. It was very cool in the evenings when we were there so we were able to take full advantage of the beautiful fireplace. Thanks for such a great place!"
