Esta casa independiente está equipada con todos los elementos esenciales que pueda necesitar para disfrutar de sus vacaciones en el corazón de Santa Fe. Electrodomésticos de acero inoxidable, muebles de cuero, chimenea de gas de esquina, wifi, sala de lavandería completa *, portal frontal amueblado para disfrutar viendo a la gente mientras saborea una margarita, patio trasero completo con una parrilla de propano y cenas al aire libre para 4 personas bajo un extraordinario árbol de sombra, Sistema de agua de ósmosis en 5 pasos fuera del grifo de la cocina, libros, juegos y una experiencia increíble en general. ¡Camina hacia TODO! ¡O no, porque hay estacionamiento para 2 autos en la entrada! ;)

* Recientemente hemos agregado una lavadora y secadora al nivel inferior de esta casa original de 1940. Las escaleras son un poco empinadas, y hemos advertido a los usuarios sobre el despeje de la cabeza en algunas áreas. Dicho esto, es una gran lavandería con mucho espacio para almacenar equipaje adicional y dejar que su esquí se descongele después de un largo día en la montaña.

This is a very cute, clean unit in a superb location, you walk to everything; it is filled with art that reflects the Santa Fe vibe. The two King beds were of high quality. The negatives are: tiny bathrooms, zero place to hang any clothing, and doors and flooring that make a great deal of noise whenever anyone rises to hit the bathroom in the middle of the night. Depending on your priorities, this unit can be a great choice.

We really enjoyed our stay here! The house was immaculate and everything that we might have needed was there. The decor made us feel like we were having a real Santé Fe experience. Beautifully maintained and very well equipped home with a great location. The manager and owner are easy to reach and very helpful. There is a construction site next door but the owner works very closely with them to minimize disruptions.

Beautiful Home

We took our granddaughter and her bast friend to Santa Fe for 6 days (5nights). We enjoyed staying at the Laughing Lama as it is so convenient to the main square. Charming home with lovely decor. We are looking forward to visiting again.

Walking Distance to Restaurants and Shopping

We had a lovely stay at the Laughing Llama. It was so easy to walk to fun places to have breakfast, lunch and dinner. Also, the shopping nearby was great!

Great stay in Santa Fe

We loved this house, and the location could not have been any better! The house is beautiful and such an artistic representation of Santa Fe and its culture. We had a bottle of bubbly waiting on our arrival, as well as coffee & custom water bottles to use. House & beds were plenty comfortable, and the host was super attentive & communicated great! Thank you again for letting us stay in your wonderful Laughing Llama Inn

Beautiful Santa Fe house

This house is very well maintained and thoughtfully equipped. The beds and linens were very comfortable and we loved the heated floors in the bathrooms. Alana was easily available and very helpful. The house has a good location on a quiet street . Higher recommended!still near the historic square.

No surprises / Perfect location / Wonderful house and host

College spring break for my son. He wanted to return to Santa Fe for hiking, art, skiing, and some great meals. Our first stay at the "Llama" exceeded expectations in every way. All exchanges with our host, Alana, were very prompt, professional, and accurate. We had a brief encounter and she's also lovely and warm in person. Highlights for us included location, a spotless well-decorated house, being able to take home clean clothes, and so many small touches: heated bathroom floor, filtered water, coffee, Mimbreño dinnerware, etc.

Great place. Most clean and well thought out home I’ve ever stayed in. Cozy, comfortable. Perfectly walkable to plaza and easy drive to Ski Santa Fe. Hosts were perfectly communicative! And the welcome touches were wonderful - won’t spoil the details, but you’ll feel welcome!

Santa Fe get away

While searching for places to stay the name of this rental drew me in and it was the perfect place for the four of us. Beautiful and so close to walk each day. Enjoyed looking up each morning and seeing the Cross of the Martyr. Thanks to Alana for her restaurant suggestions and checking in on us during the snow storm. We will return to Santa Fe. Quintessential SantaFe

My wife and I and another couple recently stayed at Laughing Llama to celebrate La fiesta and Zozobra 100. The home was a perfect size for two couples, and its proximity to the plaza and Ft Marcy Park was ideal! The online photos are spot on. The home is beautifully appointed and very comfortable. Our host, Alana, was in touch periodically to ensure everything was satisfactory. This was my third visit to SantaFe and Laughing Llama was by far the BEST. I highly recommend this property. A++.

Awesome place to stay in Santa Fe!

We have traveled to Santa Fe for over 30 years and have stayed in many places. This one is on our short list of places to stay again. Alana was immediately attentive to any questions we had, she is an awesome host. All of us staying there talked every day how much we enjoyed the house. We sat out on the patio and night to visit and the front porch in the morning with some hot tea. Super clean! Tastefully decorated. Comfortable beds. Filtered water. They spared no expense to think of anything you might need. We will definitely be back and actually already looking at the calendar for our next trip! We would rate this place 10 Stars if we could!!! PS…there is some construction next door but we wanted to add, we never heard them! The neighbors are so kind and it is a quiet neighborhood too. Top notch place and hosts!

The place is great. The hosts have thought of every amenity one needs and the home exudes a classic Southwest charm. If you're wanting to explore old town Santa Fe you don't need to use your car. Great location. Unfortunately, at this time, there is a lot of construction going on in Santa Fe.

I need to visit Santa Fe more often . . .

. . . Just so I can stay at the Laughing Llama! Lovely decor that was homey without being cluttered, spotlessly clean, and everything one needs for a perfect Santa Fe experience. Easy walk to the plaza, comfortable beds, and much higher quality of dinnerware, lines, and appliances than we expected. I used to stay at a great hotel when I visited Santa Fe, but it’s the Laughing Llama from now on!

Hi! We are Alana and Bridget. Born in the Northwoods of Wisconsin, I accepted a Division I scholarship in 1995 to play basketball at Kent State University, and then moved to beautiful Santa Fe in 2007. Bridget (born in Minnesota) and I lovingly restored this historic, Santa Fe home in 2018.
I specialize in working with the over-70 demographic on maintaining/regaining their ability to be independent in their home through exercise, flexibility and balance training.
Bridget is the Executive Director of the Espanola Humane Society.

As soon as you step onto this property and into the home you can just feel the love. This historic home was built in the 1920's and owned by the same family until our purchase in 2018. We put so much love into the full remodel of this home by staying true to the essence of all things Santa Fe. Top-of-the-line furnishings, bedding, linens, and a display of a variety of artists, such as Georgia O'Keefe, Elias Rivera, RC Gorman, and Joel Nakamura to name a few. Even the china in the kitchen are authorized reproductions of the classic dining car china introduced in 1936, the golden age of the Santa Fe Railway.

A single-family, free-standing home this close to the plaza (2 blocks) will be the envy of all of your friends. And if you have friends/family come visit during your stay, there is room for up to three vehicles to park in the driveway, a real bonus during markets and other popular events when downtown parking is sold at a premium.
Enjoy sitting on the front porch while sipping a margarita, or relax in the backyard under a gorgeous shade tree.
