The flat , which has been recently renewed (2012) is located in a typical local house in Riomaggiore historical downtown. It is 300 meters from the sea.

The first floor has a living room, 2 bedrooms and bathroom. The second floor has a small living room with kitchenette, a bedroom and another bathroom.

The apartment is a few minutes walking from the railway station or from the car parking.
We advise our guests that it is strongly recommended to arrive by train and to leave the car at La Spezia railway station parking as the car is not useful at 5 Terre (where you can go by train, by boat or even on foot across all the villages).
Riomaggiore is only 8 minutes by train from La Spezia and the parking in La Spezia is far cheaper than in 5 Terre.

The apartment was nice and in the same building as a gelato shop. There was a good restaurant within a block. It was quite a hike from the train station, uphill and many steps. However, I am 82 years old and I was able to make it, but I could not have carried my own luggage. Just be aware it is a lovely place, but it is a hike to get there. The host was available to meet us and gave us a tour of the building when we got there, she was very helpful. I would recommend this lovely apartment to anyone who visited this area.

Family stay in Riomaggiore

A really great place to explore Riomaggiore and the southern parts of the Cinque Terre. The property is very central but set back from the main streets and feels quiet and tranquil, yet it’s really easy to nip out to get an early morning focaccia from the bakery! The place was very clean and well equipped for cooking meals and really suited our purposes as a family of 5 people. We arrived late in the evening on the train and walked up to the apartment to be greeted by Gaia who had stayed late to meet us, which we really appreciated. Thanks!

Great Experience

Very central, steps to shops, restaurants and train. Very clean, equipped and compact. Ran out of hot water at one time. Beautiful view from the balcony. Nothing could prepare you for the steep walk from the train.

Compact apartment right in the heart of the villiage

Proximity allowed us to enjoy Riomaggiore easily. Just up the main street to the port and beach. Perfect for our family of five to come and go, with a icecream shop right next door. The kitchenette was practical and we all slept well.

Great Location

We had a great stay in Riomaggiore and the location of the rental was great. It would have been nice to have Wifi to plan the rest of the trip and the bed on the second floor was very uncomfortable but other than that it was a nice spot to spend a few days. Thanks!
