Awesome home! Very relaxing. The host left plenty of hints and a few things in the fridge! Coffee was great. We will be back. I cannot recommend this home enough. You will not be disappointed.
White Rock Cabin is an absolutely beautiful and lovingly tended getaway! It is very private and when sitting on the back deck, you see nothing but mountain and forest. The host was very responsive, kind, and helpful in making sure my stay was perfect. The home is cozy, quiet, appealingly decorated, and outfitted with plenty of luxurious towels and linens. The bed was so comfortable (it was just me so I only used one), and the bathroom and shower are total luxury. Every need and amenity has been thought of and provided! The kitchen is fully outfitted for anything you would want to cook, plus two outdoor grills. And the coffee is divine! The setting is so relaxing and peaceful, with the sound of the river and birds the constant backdrop. The many native plantings and rock walls combined with the beautiful forest made it feel magical. The hot tub and firepit were so easy to use and added to the relaxing vibe that permeates all of White Rock Cabin. This is going to be an oasis that I return to again and again! I'll probably bring my family at some point, but I kind of want it to be my special getaway. I can't recommend it enough!
We had such a great time and everything was as perfect as it was in the listing! Scott was very helpful and communicative - we’d definitely stay here again and recommend this for anyone looking for a great spot (esp. if they have a dog)!
The location is great so peaceful in the mountains, Scott was very quick to respond if we had a question. The house is very well stocked for any thing you would need. We will definitely be back.
Property was as described. Very clean and neat. The host left detailed instructions that made our stay easier. Love the property and the decor of the cabin. We would not hesitate to stay again.
Scott was a great host. We had a wonderful time. Actually, we had to cut our vacation short by one day and Scott was very gracious about that. If you’re looking for peace and quiet, it will be at this cabin.
Our stay here was phenomenal. The host was gracious and genenrous and wonderful with communication both through messages and through written signage around the property to tell you where everything is. The house has everything you would need plus more. I'm incredibly grateful for this stay and highly recommend anyone come here if theyre looking for a place to escape responsibility and explore wilderness
Secluded, private, and peaceful cabin. The host was very helpful and attentive. The cabin was well stocked and felt very homey. Couldn't have asked for a better place to stay.
This cute cabin was quite comfortable and ideally situated. We loved listening to the river and walking alongside it. We were able to explore Crabtree Falls, Blue Ridge Tunnel Trail and other attractions in the surrounding region. The host was very responsive, the cabin was well-kept and the grounds were lovely with native plants and a hot tub! This is a perfect getaway spot!
Very lovely property for quiet getaway. The house is very well equipped including great instructions from the owner on how things work or where to find things. Also enjoyed some beautiful hiking opportunities in the area. Really enjoyed our stay.
This was the second time I stayed here, the first time for my fiance. We love the access to an ev charger and how quiet the location is!

About the host
Hosted by Scott Wiley
We bought this five years ago and fell in love with the area. We have jobs as nurse and psychologist, and find the peace a quiet to be wonderful. We manage three other properties ( not on VRBO) so are familiar with guest needs and hosting.
Why they chose this property
We bought this place after staying in a weekend rental nearby, and happening upon this listing. The weather in summer is generally 10 degrees cooler than Charlottesville. The road in front of the house runs for miles along the river, but some days it is hard to make it off the front porch!
What makes this property unique
The local area is rich in both history ( a century old flour mill up the road, an old log cabin across the road, and a quaint cemetery from before 1900 to name a few) and also close to Crabtree Falls, 151, the Parkway and hikes, swimming holes in the river, native trout streams within walking distance.
