Over ten years of work went into creating a work of art using more than 80% recycled building materials known locally as "The Recycle House". The perfect place to stay while you explore all the shops and galleries in downtown Chester just a few steps away. When you are done shopping, come back and relax in the zen like garden overlooking a waterfall or curl up inside and read a book by the gas fire place. If you are looking for a place to get away from it all, this is the place. The property advertised is the entire house split into 2 suites with separate entry ways on lower and main levels.

Relaxing getaway with plenty to do
We had a great four days staying here. The house was perfect. Beautifully decorated and restored. The bed upstairs was super comfy! The sound of the waterfall was very relaxing. The whole trip was just what we needed. You can walk to everything in Chester. Breweries, restaurants, shops. And the coast is just a short drive. Can’t say enough good things about our trip and our stay at this beautiful house. Will definitely be back!
Feels like a film set
Such a beautiful place! The house itself is a work of art. The property is breathtaking. And the proximity to the center of Chester, an absolutely quintessential small Connecticut town, makes this place one of a kind. This was a dream getaway.
Unique craftsmanship and charming spaces! Gorgeous waterfall and lovely town. We will be back!
Looking forward to a return visit!
Awesome get away
A very beautiful home on an equally beautiful property. Very short walk to a picturesque town with excellent restaurants. This is a perfect get away any time of year.
The owner was very helpful and ever available.
My bride and I have been to about 15 of these rentals, we highly recommend this place.
Spectacular, Quirky House in charming Chester CT
This house is a well-appointed, spectacular, quirky combination of recycled beams, windows, floorboards, antiques and even an old piano that together create the feeling of a refurbished barn. There is a minimum of stuff, everything necessary is in its place, an engineering feat that I love. AC that works really well and gas stoves that I assume will work as well too. All of this in an amazing setting in a charming village. The waterfall is beautiful, creating a lovely background noise you can hear from all rooms. Great beds, really comfy and the great bathrooms. I will definitely be back and will recommend it to my friends.
Quaint and relaxing, a wonderful escape!
We really enjoyed this unique home and it's perfect location. The waterfall and views are beautiful, and being so close to the lovely main street of Chester was extremely convenient. We went with another couple so the separate living quarters worked well as we each had our own space, and we gathered mostly on the deck. We did a lot of cooking and the kitchen is a little tight for more than one adult at a time, but we made it work. If you plan on cooking, keep in mind that there is no oven, just two electric burners in each suite. We also brought our own portable grill (with the owner's approval) which made meals easier. The trip to Gillette Castle State Park is quick and scenic, and the park/castle itself is well worth the visit! The Chester farmer's market on Sunday was also a pleasant surprise and was just steps from the house.
