Come and take a look from Our Point of View! Take just a six minute drive to Great Creek Landing subdivision from I-85, and you will experience gentle, rolling hills, perfect for walking or biking, that lead to a beautiful lakeside home perfect for any get-away. Our Point of View is located at the entrance of a peaceful cove with a magnificent view of the greater lake.

Our Point of View is a five bedroom home (Three of the bedrooms include king beds with gorgeous lakefront views!) which comfortably sleeps 17 guests (with beds for all 17 guests). The main level has a large kitchen with updated appliances and dining area, perfect for cooking and entertaining. The living room includes a 60" smart TV, so no one misses the big game, even those "working" in the kitchen! Two bedrooms (king and queen) are located on the main level with a full bath and laundry room. The lower level, a walkout basement, has been recently painted and updated. The living room contains a sectional sofa, large 55" smart TV, custom bar, games, books for all ages and a foosball table. This lower level also includes a full kitchen with washer and dryer, making our home perfect for multiple families to get away from it all together, but still have their own space! The lower level also features two bedrooms (king and bunk room) and a full bath. On the third floor is a master suite, including a Jacuzzi tub, with breathtaking views of the lake.

While the inside has all the comforts of home, it's the lakeside view our guests will rave about. This home includes multiple outdoor seating areas for you to choose from to relax or gather with friends. Spend lake front time on the main level deck (complete with a gas grill), or rest on the patio on the lower level with ping pong table, charcoal grill and newly built fire pit! The fire pit is nestled in the middle of a stone seating area with Adirondack chairs built for relaxing and taking in the scenery day and night! Don't forget the fixings for S'mores over the fire pit! A paved walkway on a gentle slope leads you to a large dock, perfect for sunning, and with a water depth of eight feet, it's also great for swimming, floating and fishing. A boat house is located on the dock with 2 paddle boards and 3 kayaks for use during your stay at no additional charge. After a long day of fun in the sun, shower off outdoors in our newly built private, outdoor shower equipped with both hot and cold water.

Our Point of View offers every comfort of home. Enjoy this lakeside paradise with views that will leave you breathless. This is truly a special property that makes the most of an ideal location and allows you to feel like you are on vacation from the moment you arrive.

This was the perfect home away from home for our 3 families to celebrate Thanksgiving! The 2 full kitchens made it possible for all the Cooks to have ample space. The Host even provided an extra folding table and chairs so we could all eat together. What a blessing! We enjoyed the comfortable outdoor spaces, including the dock table, fire pit and porches with stunning views. Our families are all ready to go back to this property!

We had a fabulous family reunion vacation at Our Point of View! Having 2 kitchens was a great benefit. We had the parents with toddlers on the lower level and us mature folks on the main level so we were able to sleep a little later. We loved the close access to the dock/lake and all the paddling options. Enjoyed the fire pit and walks around the neighborhood. Did some side trips to breweries, mini golf, winery, dinner, & ice cream. We loved everything about the house and location. Would definitely book again.

We couldn’t have asked for a better house at Lake Gaston. For us, the boat house is the most important thing since that is where we spend the most time. This boat house was perfect. Comfortable furniture, great kayaks and paddle boards, shade, and a great swimming area.The house itself was very well-equipped and the beds were super comfortable. Jodie was very responsive and answered any and all questions. Don’t hesitate booking this property.

Martin and I have been married since 1999 and I can honestly say we have had some kind of project going since day one! In addition to raising two teenage daughters, working as a second grade teacher, and Martin a mechanical engineer, our life has been full of remodeling, creating and construction of some type! When we bought Our Point of View in September of 2016 we agreed we would only do a few simple improvements the first year. Wrong! Before we knew it we decided to repaint and update almost the entire lower level! We just want our guests to feel comfortable and enjoy their surroundings while visiting. Martin grew up on a Caribbean island so he loves water and boating. We both knew we wanted a place that was easy to get to in a short amount of time. Lake Gaston was the perfect spot! We love it and hope you will too!

Why they chose this property

We knew Our Point of View was the right house for us the moment our realtor drove us down the driveway! Martin and I both fell in love with the lake view! We loved the gentle slope of the yard, the large dock and the location. We get the benefits of seeing the greater lake combined with the coziness of being in a cove. In addition, we also love the location. It is easily accessible from I-85 and only takes about an hour for us to get here from our home. It is so nice to go from a hectic, crazy schedule to total tranquility in such a short amount of time!

What makes this property unique

Immediately, we saw the benefits of this home. For starters, it has two full kitchens! Not many lake rentals have this. Personally, I am not a fan of cooking but some renters love it. But more importantly, I envisioned family and friends getting together not only during the summer but for holidays! Two ovens and two refrigerators definitely come in handy. Plus having a complete lower level gives multiple families more space. Another benefit of this home is the master bedroom and bathroom having its own level. In addition, the views are amazing from the third level! The first thing we did when we bought the home was position the bed to look out at the lake. It's a great view to enjoy first thing in the morning after you wake up! There are many benefits about this home but another one that stands out is the yard. We have a large front yard, great for volleyball or kickball, and an awesome lakeside yard. I told Martin when we saw the house that the house screamed for some attention in the back even though the view was amazing. It needed to be brought to life! This is where the beginning of Martin's design of the fire pit and walkways started! I look forward to listening to old stories and creating new ones by this fire pit. I hope you and your friends and family will too!
