Welcome to Sunset Point! Our serene and private vacation rental located in Historic Algiers Point. Located on a safe and well-lit street, we are one of the closest vacations rentals to the ferry. Our building contains two guest apartments, an owner's unit and a gift shop. We live on premises and are here 12-24 hours a day, so we are always here to assist.
We are a brand new construction, finished in April of 2017.
Your space contains 1 bedroom with a queen bed, 1 bathroom with shower/tub combo, lots of bathroom counter space, a full kitchen with fridge, dishwasher, microwave, coffee maker, stove & oven, breakfast table, 60" flat screen smart tv, a pull out couch that can sleep 1 (or perhaps two kids or smaller adults), wifi, and your very own private front porch. This unit is located on the first floor and features central air and heat. We stock the space with linens, dinnerware, cookware, snacks, water, coffee and other munchies. It is decorated with art from Louisiana artists.
We can also offer toys, pack and plays or other baby gear. Please let us know in advance.
Our neighborhood has bars, live music, restaurants, green spaces, a gorgeous paved levee, parks, a blown glass gallery, an interactive art gallery for kids and our beautiful GIFT SHOP, located right next door.

About Bea
Husband and wife team, work hard play hard Louisiana natives. One kid and one dog. We love being tourists in our own city, taking on projects, art, design, music and all things New Orleans.
Why Bea chose Algiers Point
We chose to live in Algiers Point, because it offers the best of both worlds. On this side of the river, things have a slower pace. It is amazingly quiet and peaceful as well as safe. When you are ready for a night out, simply jump on the ferry and travel to the French Quarter or Central Business District in about 10 minutes.
What makes this Condo unique
After living in Algiers Point for about 10 years, we purchased this piece of land and eventually built a multi-family home that contains an owner's unit, two rentals and a gift shop. We love being close to the Mississippi River. Most evenings we will watch the sunset behind the spectacular view of the French Quarter.

Real quiet spacious getaway!! Just a few steps from the river awesome views in the morning!
All the amenities were there! cookware so we saved a few bucks by cooking some dinners at night breakfast in morning !:). Just a few blocks away and a bar that's open till 4 in the morning,. And then to the South a few bolck also there's an excellent Cafe called."Tout De Sutie" Which just make some delicious breakfast..we had 6 coming but there was only 3 that stay.. I need book ahead soo:it what a last minute decision.. even though they ended up having a nice Hotel in the french quarter with a swimming pool.. 'which is fun for the kids ... thanks again to the owners meeting our needs !! A++ .,
Great Cozy Place
Nice spot. Right near the ferry. Quiet area
Great base for touring New Orleans
We really enjoyed this place. We were visiting to see the sights (not to party) so this worked well for us. The ferry is very efficient (unlike the rest of NO transit) as long as you don't want to stay later than its last trip at night. The apartment is new, spacious, close to the ferry and adjacent to the levee walking path. The owners are close at hand if you were to need them. The area seems perfectly safe. Highly recommended.
Spacious New Condo! Fabulous Location!
We thoroughly enjoyed staying in this condo while visiting during Mardi Gras. The location was absolutely perfect for getting back and forth to the main district and French Quarter, as the ferry was mere steps away. We could escape back here at night and didn't have to be in the middle of all the festivities 24/7. The condo was spacious and perfect for the two of us. The bed and linens were comfy and luxurious and everything was fresh and new and really nicely appointed. Bea's shop on the first floor was quaint and offered lots of great items - I spent way too much money in there but couldn't help myself.
There were a number of little annoyances that prevented me from giving the condo 5 stars, however. Upon arrival: had to wait in the rain to hear back from the owners to let us in (having the key in the lockbox or letting us know not to use the main phone number provided would have been nice); the TV wasn't working, until we figured out it wasn't plugged in, then the remote wouldn't work, until we found the batteries it was missing and put them in. In the kitchen: had to ask for a fry pan to cook dinner; then had to ask for a can opener; there were no dish towels, scrubbies or wash rags to clean with; couldn't get the coffee pot going the first morning and tried everything, only to discover the outlets needed to be reset (who wants to mess with someone's electrical???) In the bathroom: only shampoo, no conditioner, even though it said toiletries were provided; the full-length mirror was really dirty; and there was painters tape around the drain for the future washer, which didn't look really nice.
Bea and her husband were very responsive any time we needed help, but I didn't like feeling I was bothering them. So no major issues at all. Perhaps it's just because the place is so new and they haven't finished up all the little details, or maybe I'm a little pickier because I am an Owner with VRBO myself. But my husband is already talking about coming back, and this will be our #1 choice for a place to stay.
Very nice, very comfortable, great location.
Beautiful little condo. It is a five-minute walk to the ferry and then a 15 minute walk to the middle of the French Quarter. Perfect location!!
Great little place in a quiet neighborhood!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Walking distance to two or three restaurants. Very close walk to the ferry, which will take you across the river to canal street, the street cars, and the French quarter. With parking spots costing about 40 bucks a day, in the French quarter, it's nice to be so close to public transportation. The ferry going across doesn't run until 1030am on the weekends, which caused a last minute change of plans when we had something to do at 9a in the French quarter. Just something to be aware of! The apartment is very cute and clean. Had everything we needed and was comfortable. I would stay here again!
