What a great find! With its proximity to the pool, the private beach and shopping, we couldn't have asked for more from Steve and Karen's condo. There were so many thoughtful touches like games for kids, all the beach supplies you will ever need, extra toiletries, a stocked pantry and a well-furnished, clean and thoughtfully decorated interior. The food and activity recommendations were spot on - and the private beach was the best part of the stay. We enjoyed the snorkeling and the food so much that we are already making our plans for next year. We worked with Aloha Kona Kids to arrange for a crib and high chair for our daughter, and Steve and Karen were gracious enough to allow them to set up prior to our late arrival. The grill on the patio was an excellent choice for us to cook and unwind after our daughter went to bed.

Mahalo to Steve and Karen for being communicative, helpful and accommodating hosts. Don't hesitate to book!

Fabulous Condo in the Big Island Paradise

We loved our week long, 5 star stay in Steve's and Karen's condo. This was our second visit to the Big Island and the Figgin's condo. We couldn't be happier with the excellent accommodations, the many amenities and the great customer service provided by Steve and Karen. We enthusiastically recommend this wonderful vacation rental for a family of four (like ours) or a special romantic getaway for two. It works for both.

The condo itself has everything you want or need. The beds are especially comfortable, the kitchen is very well stocked and fully equipped (spices, plates, glasses, pots, utensils, etc.), the living area is charmingly decorated, , the grill and outside table are easily accessible (just outside the patio door), and the landscaping is spectacular with colorful flowers everywhere.

The nearby pool is clean, well maintained and tucked into a garden like setting. WiFi is great when needed and TV is available although most days we all fell into bed exhausted from our many hours on the beach - boogie boarding, snorkeling, diving under big waves and building sand castles.

Not fare from the condo is a beautiful but challenging golf course, an unusual black sand beach (wear flip flops on the sand - its hot) with exceptional snorkeling and a private owner's beach with food, drinks, and beach stuff (chairs, snorkeling equipment, etc.) The nearby village has a well stocked market, restaurants, stores with beach wear and Big Island gifts, a coffee shop and evening festivities (e.g.,local Hawaiian dancers and fire twirlers).

Overall, Steve and Karen's condo is a marvelous Hawaiian destination. And don't worry about the volcano. Its over a hundred miles away on the far opposite end of the island, it impacts less than 1% of the 4000 square mile island and its a routine event for the locals. Make those plane reservations and stay at the Figgin's condo. You will be very happy you did.

Yes, the lava flow from Kilauea is fascinating for me as a geologist, but it is on the other side of the island and the North Kohala Coast where our condo is located, is safe. The "vog" from the eruption has been going southeast out to the ocean so that is also not an issue. We are pleased that you and the girls had another great vacation! Great location. Lovely pool steps away from the condo. Owner’s beach has awesome snorkeling.

Unit was clean and well maintained. They had several nice inclusions, such as a a cooler, snorkel masks, boogie boards, and swim towels. The location was perfect and within a short drive to several beaches.

Tropical paradise at an affordable price!

This is an amazing rental for a family! Lots of room, beautiful outside and in.... the most fully equipped kitchen you can imagine. Pools and facilities are immaculate. What I loved about this villa was it's proximity to the pool: close enough that the kids can run to the pool, but far enough that you are in a private setting!

The key selling point for us was the outdoor BBQ and table with patio. Just a lovely way for us to spend each evening...Not every rental in Hawaii has this amenity so this a huge plus!

We greatly appreciated the wifi that was available so that we could do our business emails in the morning, and appreciated the beach gear that was readily available to us so that we could enjoy the rest of the day!

This is a fully decked out unit for all your needs. Light and airy, windows galore, and beautifully (professionally?) decorated. Beds were VERY comfortable. The kitchen has MORE than what you need, as it is better appointed than my own home. Chef's knives? Got it. Water pitcher and matching glasses? There. Toaster. Yep. Spices? You bet. Great beach towels, even.

This location is so perfect for all of The Big Island sites. We especially Love the Kohala area & the Quaint charm of the towns along the Hamakua coast. History is rich once you go meandering around the Island!

Snorkeling at the private beach was perfect this year, and the pass that comes with the property is another key selling point. The gracious hospitality of our hosts has not been matched in any other accommodation that we have rented (this is our tenth time in the area). We would recommend this Villa with 5 stars!

We loved our stay at this condo Mauna Lani Golf Villas. This condo is conveniently located close to the pool and on-site gym. The grounds are maticulately maintained which enhances the beauty of the Hawaiian Islands. Additionally, having access to the Mauna Lani Beach Club was the cherry on top. The Beach Club offers food, drinks, and activities to spend the day at the beach with the versatility of packing a lunch to bring with you instead.
