Pebbled beaches and peaceful days on the Istrian Peninsula
Set southeast of the hilltop town of Labin on the Istrian peninsula, Rabac is its own charming resort town, nestled on Croatia's Kvarner Bay. Once a modest fishing village, today Rabac is an attractive resort destination, full of villas and waterfront restaurants. Spend the day strolling through town or lounging on the pebbled beaches, and you'll find plenty to love about the Croatian seaside. Pair your visit with any of the Rabac vacation rentals, and you just may wonder if you have what it takes to truly become a local.
Plenty of history and nature in Rabac's own backyard
If you're on the hunt for museums and culture, take a drive up into the hills to the town of Labin. This larger city offers tons of culture and Istrian history, which you can explore at the Palaca Battaiala-Lazzarini museum. Other options include the Muzej Matija Vlacic Ilirik, or the Park Skulptura Dubrova. The Ucka Nature Park serves as Rabac's backyard to the north, and offers plenty of winding trails through pine forests and along the coast.
From swimming and waterskiing to sunbathing and doing nothing!
The best way to enjoy Rabac is by doing nothing at all. Swim in the blue waters of the Adriatic, sunbathe on the pebbled shore, or book 1 of the Rabac vacation rentals with a terrace, perfect for a sunset cocktail in hand. But adventurous travelers will be rewarded, too! The region boasts ideal conditions for windsurfing, waterskiing, and diving, as well as nature trails made for hiking and biking. You can easily spend your days beach-hopping from spot to spot, all in the name of finding the very best white pebbled beach to call your own.
Forget Lasik, visit the Tears of St Lucia instead!
Rabac is set against a hilly backdrop, giving it a dramatic appearance as you drive into town. Once you arrive, you'll find a stunning cove surrounds the village, made up of pebble beaches and the clear blue waters of Kvarner Bay. If you need a break from the beach, there are tons of forested hiking trails, including 1 to the Tears of St Lucia, a natural spring with supposedly eye-healing waters. Ferries are readily available to other nearby beaches, most notably Cres and Losinj, which offer sandy alternatives to the coast of Rabac.
