Was disappointed on how the picture presented this property to the way it really was. Needed major cleanup in the front. First arrival appearance not good. The best thing was the river few in the backyard. Back porch nice but if there are not going to be pretty live hanging flower basket please take the dead one down.
The home was clean & beds slept pretty good but other than that for the price would not stay there again. Needs a total update, the faucets were all lose, one of the bath handles fell off. We had to plan out our showers or we had cold water & had to wait a while to shower. Was not well stocked in the kitchen at all like many others places we have stayed in Colorado. Was told we would get a nice welcome gift. Doris could not find the key to the place wherever she keeps them. I had to call her to ask for it and she finally brought it down the second day. She was not very informative upon arrival. I gave this place a two star mainly for the back porch river view and being clean. Really needs a makeover! Would not refer this property to anyone. Over priced for this property & location was to far out for us from town.
Beautiful, peaceful, relaxing, warm and homey
Such a lovely location. So clean and comfy — we felt right at home immediately. Beds were comfy too! We felt very welcome.
This place provided the perfect launching pad for a backpacking trip for our family of 5 in Rocky Mountain National Park. The sights and sounds of the river were fantastic. The house was well stocked and the location was great. We'd happily return again!
Loved the wooden screen doors and the river
Absolutely beautiful place! The home was so CLEAN and had everything we needed and more. The location was perfect for getting into Rocky Mountain National Park. My husband and son enjoyed flyfishing on the stream that is literally right outside the door. Thank you for the "Welcome" gifts! We look forward to visiting again.
Serenity on the river for sure!
The owner refers to this property as "Serenity On the River" and they could not be more spot on! We absolutely loved this cozy cottage! Amazingly large for it's size! The space is well laid out and it just felt like home the minute we walked in the door! Everything was super clean and Doris the neighbor lady that checked us in was awesome! She had everything ready for us including recommendations on where to shop and eat as well as places to visit and she was also SPOT ON! We felt like we had the best next door neighbor we could count on in a blink of an eye. She was awesome. Open a few windows and you can hear the river throughout the house, it's so relaxing! Houses next to you are closer than it appears in the photos but it does not matter, it is super quiet and they are arranged in a way you don't feel like anyone is right next to you. Love this place and I hope we can experience it again this winter. It is so cozy I can't even explain. Rent it, and take care of it so we can come back! You will not be sorry!
Serenity on the River is located on the Southwest end of Estes Park, just outside the city limits. While off the beaten path, you are never too far away from all the amenities of Estes Park. From the property, enjoy views of the Big Thompson River from the patio, across the street and down the road is the World famous YMCA of the Rockies, where they feature plenty of hiking and horseback trails. The property is also located on a wildlife corridor. Several guests have reported deer and elk passing by the property, usually early in the morning or at dusk. Rocky Mountain National Park is just a five minute drive away. If you do not want to cook, there are plenty of restaurants to appeal to any kind of appetite.
