About Vacasa, WA - San Juans / Puget Sound Office

Thanks for considering a Vacasa home! We provide full-service management for privately owned vacation homes, and like to think that we offer our guests the best of both worlds: the unique experience of staying in a one-of-a-kind vacation home, with the peace of mind that comes from knowing that the home you book for your special vacation is cared for by professional housekeepers and property managers.

Vacasa began in 2009, simply because our founder and CEO Eric wanted to find a better way to share his wife’s family’s summer home in Long Beach, Washington with guests as a vacation rental. Eric and his early team worked to build Vacasa on the premise that local employees can do what they love most (taking care of guests, homeowners, and properties), while the hands-off tasks of vacation rental management—things like marketing, filing taxes, and maintaining a website—could be handled by a specialized central support team.

Our passion is connecting travelers with the unique experience of staying in a vacation home, and we would be honored to be your host. Please contact us with any questions about this home—our team is standing by!

Long weekend staying in.

  • 4 of 5

Cozy retreat with beautiful views of Penn Cove. The living room is very comfortable and the beds were comfortable as well! We arrived after sunset, and we had trouble finding the property in the dark. Apparently, there is no gravel/paved driveway...it is a patch of lawn that you park on in front the garage. The kitchen smelled slightly of eggs/sulfur that eventually went away (or we got used to) the next day. Be aware that there are two bright security lights that stay on all the time.

Cozy Cabin, but beware the porch light

  • 3 of 5

Nice little cabin, well maintained, with some minor issues, but one big glaring one: two very bright porch lights that cannot be turned off, according to the owner. Very distracting and annoying, and should give anyone renting this property some pause. It's too bad, because other than that it really is a very nice place.

Coupeville Waterfront Getaway

  • 5 of 5

We really enjoyed our stay! There is something very tranquil and relaxing about sitting on the deck and enjoying the water and distant mountain views. We also enjoyed seeing the abundant wildlife; deer, kingfishers, herons, seals, gulls, and bald eagles. The location was close to shopping and attractions.

Rustic beach getaway and poopy smell on the side

  • 4 of 5

We had a lovely weekend stay at the rustic cabin. The beach/deck out front was perfect for our little family. I could sit & watch the baby play on the deck in his pool while my 4 year old played with kids down the way on the beach and paddle boarded with her dad. There was no hose to fill his pool so we used our cooler and filled it with some warm water from the shower.

One thing, this isn't a huge property so don't bring a lot that you'd have to store. The kitchen cupboards are maxed out so the only place to store your dry food is on top of the fridge and a little bit on the counter. I ended up spending a lot of time in the kitchen cooking and tending to baby bottle/food stuff. The windows/view is gorgeous so I didn't feel l was missing out on too much.

There is an issue with the sewer--the inside of the cabin and especially the outside smells of, well, poop. I don't know if this is a new issue or an old one they haven't tended to. It could be a big expense but wanted to let other visitors know that you will experience wafts of sewer smell.

The wood along the main window in the master bedroom is rotted and difficult to shut. It would be great to have the ability to turn off the crazy spot light of a security light on the deck at night. I slept with a sleeping mask as the light filters the master and we weren't able to enjoy a late cocktail on the deck at night as the kids slept. And some WD40 for the rocking deck chairs would have been nice to have on hand. They squeak like crazy. I bet you could hear it down the beach.

Overall, the cabin was great for the weekend and fit our needs. It's rustic. It's functional. It's in a great location. Just smells here & there of poop. And I could tolerate the smell for the weekend for the price we paid.
