What a lovely home! All was immaculately clean…the home is well appointed with everything we needed during our stay. The beds were comfortable and we loved sitting with the fireplace on fall evenings. Close to everything in town, lots of great eating options and lovely beach.

We had a great trip - house is exactly as it is listed. It is exceptionally clean. Neighborhood is quiet, and it's very easy to get to restaurants and the beach. We would definitely stay here again!

We had a wonderful stay 5 days/4 nights Property is immaculate, updates and design are beautiful, house/kitchen is well stocked, and location is quiet and convenient to the Cape Charles historic downtown and the beach. The outdoor backyard setting is a wonderful area to relax. Loved the outdoor shower area. We would absolutely stay again.

Fantastic stay!

Great Stay on a long Weekend

We come to CC every October for an oktoberfest event. Every year we have stayed someone different, this is one of our favorites so far. It was perfect for our short stay, price right, well stocked and newly updated. It clear the owners put a lot of thought and care into setting up the home. We have 3 young kids and everyone had a great stay.

Cozy, very clean, comfy stay

This is our second time staying here, and, like our first visit, it was exceptionally clean and tidy. The kitchen is well-stocked, and the outdoor shower is a great touch. Owner was helpful during communications! Backyard playground was a hit. Our family of four (w/ two small kids) was very comfy here and would definitely return!

Clean, Cute, & Convenient

The property was incredibly clean, the check in process was easy, and it was convenient to the beach. Because we have 2 kids (a 2-year old and a newborn), we drove the 1 minute drive to the beach for convenience, but it’s definitely walkable. Matt was communicative and the stay was all we needed for a quick family getaway.

Exactly what was described in the VROB listing. We loved the house and accommodated our needs

Home was updated, modernized and the kitchen served our needs. Home was conveniently located to downtown, beach and restaurants. Quiet neighborhood. Parking immediately in front of house.

Beautifully decorated beach cottage

We enjoyed our 2 night stay at Matt’s beach cottage for my 30th birthday weekend. Open concept first floor great for entertaining/socializing, childrens toys, children’s books, pack n play, nice bath towels, well appointed kitchen with spices and cooking wear, outdoor shower and many other features to brag about. Matt was a great communicator during our stay and was immediately available to answer questions.

Wonderful property

We had a wonderful time. The house was very clean and living area is a good open layout. 3 bedrooms and the bathroom had ample space. Would suggest some hooks in bathroom to hang towels or toiletry bag. Kitchen had the necessary amenities. It is a short walk to the Main Street and the beach although we drove. We had a wonderful time visiting CC!

First visit to Cape Charles - would stay here again!

We loved our stay in this house. It was comfortable, exceptionally clean, convenient, and quiet. We cooked a few meals in the very-well provisioned kitchen and ate out a few times, too. We rented a golf cart to scoot around town and preferred to be a bit further from the beach, as this spot was extremely quiet. Our three-year-old ended up with a pretty nasty stomach bug, but Matt was understanding and kind in our communication describing the situation. If and when we return to Cape Charles, we'd definitely book this house again.

Great place

We enjoyed our stay here so much. The house was very clean. The kitchen was very well stocked. We were glad that we had rented a golf cart as the house was a little farther from the shops and restaurants and beach than we were willing to walk with two small kids in tow.

Wonderful stay once again!! So nice, so clean, so comfortable, just lovely all around. The house has everything you need - so nice not to worry about bringing our own beach chairs or cooking implements. My daughter is a big fan of the kids books in the house too :) Hosts are wonderfully communicative. Hoping we can nab this gem again next year!

Cape Charles Get Away

Lovely, comfortable home. First floor open plan and great kitchen- loved the fireplace and loved the front porch- we sat on in the evenings before going out. Walking distance to everything- the main street, the beach or the harbor, or a very short drive. Lots of great places to eat nearby. Highly recommend- everything was perfect!

We purchased this home in 2013 and immediately began a complete renovation (and re-configuration!). The goal was to maximize the modest size and allow the property to function like a much larger home, while maintaining the original style and charm. The renovation was completed in 2014. Over the years, we have expanded the outdoor space to include a patio and playset for children. Our family has made many memories in Cape Charles, and we welcomed our first VRBO guests in the fall of 2017. Since then, we have enjoyed sharing all the town has to offer with others.
