We stayed here while my oldest son was playing in cooperstown. We enjoyed the peaceful property in-between and after the games at Cooperstown.
Definitely recommend and would come back
We came in to watch my oldest at the Dreams Park for the week. We needed a place that was available the day before the tournament week started, ad we got super luck that this host was available for us at a great rate!
To whoever said the water smells terrible, it doesn't. Please remember it is well water, as your're not in the city anymore Toto. With that, there is also no central AC, but they have window units available. This is common for Upstate NY. Be prepared for Allergies as well.
The pictures are different in the listing than when we visited, with some furniture changes, but overall everything was just fine. This is a 3 story cabin, and the top floor stairs are steep and you have to make sure not to hit your head in some low clearance areas. You are a good 1520 minutes from any store, gas station, etc. So make sure you plan properly. You are a good 20-25 minute drive to Dreams Park, so if. you are looking for somewhere to get back and fourth from quickly, this isn't the right spot for you.
The property overlooks a pond and we saw A LOT of wildlife while we were there. Deer, Turkeys, etc. It was great. My kids loved seeing the Deer as we are from South FL and we don't have deer like that. BUT this is also a warning to be careful when driving, especially at night. It is very dark and deer will pop out of nowhere.
It was simple and effective for our needs. It's nothing fancy or flashy, but it has a washer and dryer, a full kitchen so we were happy!

Disliked: Cleanliness, amenities, property conditions & facilities, communication
There is no TV service, the owners son came out and said they would get a cable box the next day, we never heard from anyone again, we drove an hour to Oneonta to get a Roku to watch TV. The water at the house smells terrible, the house smells terrible. The house is constantly full of bugs and moths. The bed sheets and blankets were not freshly cleaned, we ended up getting a Hotel room at the Comfort Inn because it was so bad.
Sal and Abbe’s home is absolutely lovely! Proximity to Dreams Park was as advertised and it was an easy drive to and from the park and downtown Cooperstown. Sal was responsive to our needs and did his best to rectify any issues. We were very pleased with our decision to stay here and recommend it to anyone coming to the area! Check out their restaurant, Maskots, just across from Dreams Park for some great pizza and space large enough for your baseball team!!

Horrible experience
This cabin is so poorly cleaned. There is spider webs on all of the corners. The bathrooms are terribly dirty, I was disgusted to shower there. There is what looked like black mold on the walls of the bathroom and the floors are very dirty. The tap water smells rotten. We would gag every time I had to wash my teeth with that water. The kitchen cabinets reek of mold. The laundry smells horrible, I would have to go with my nose and mouth covered. One of the rooms has an A/C but the power cord doesn’t reach any outlets and there was no power extension. It was so hot in that room, the fans provided were not enough. The TV doesn’t catch the channels, I couldn’t watch TV not once in the week that I was there. The bed sheets all reeked, I had to wash them before sleeping in them, who knows if they were ever washed. There are so many more things wrong with this place, it is disgusting. And besides all of this that I’ve mentioned, there is a banging noise in the middle of the night, I was scared it was a ghost. It didn’t happen just one night, it happened several nights. I could barely sleep. I do not recommend this place, not even to my worst enemy.
This location is great for Cooperstown dream park. You are away from all the traffic and it is so peaceful! The owners are wonderful and make sure you stop by there restaurant across from Dreams Park the best wings ever!
Close to everything, but far enough away to relax.

Beautiful property for a baseball week at Cooperstown
The property is absolutely beautiful and the house was very clean. It certainly served its purpose for our family. Water pressure was pretty low and doors required ducking upstairs but this house (log cabin in most parts) was great! The view is amazing and it’s a short (15 minute) drive to Dreams Park.

Awesome Place
We stayed for week 13 of the Cooperstown Dreams Tournament, first time there. Sal and Abbe have a wonderful property - They were great to work with and wonderful about answering all our questions. Everything was perfect and exactly as stated in the ad which made our experience even better - After talking with other team families, we felt like we were very fortunate to have found such a great place and great owners! Thanks it was a week of wonderful memories!

Amazing place
Just got back from a week long stay here while my son was playing in the Dreamspark tournament. This place is close enough to Cooperstown and the ballpark to make it an easy drive, but far enough removed to make it a peaceful and relaxing place to get away. The house is roomy and in great condition. The property around it is amazing. The owners are great people that make sure you have everything you need to have a perfect trip. They also own the pizza place across from the Dreamspark which is a great place to enjoy some pizza and a beer in between games.

About the host
Hosted by Abbe Furnari
Sal and Abbe own Maskots Pizza & Grill directly across from the Cooperstown Dreams Park. They also own and operate Chalet Village one half mile from the park's entrance, and Fielder's Choice Apartments across from the park as well. Serving Dreams Park guests for the last 10 years has enabled them to truly understand what's important to travelers coming for the 12u tournament. They are accessible and have developed a staff that is second to none. Their entire team is on call for travelers needs 24/7 while staying on Huff Road, Fielder's Choice Apartments, or Chalet Village. Stop in and see the owners. Have a slice of the best New York style pizza in upstate New York. Sal, one of the pizza makers, was born and raised in Astoria, New York. And if you ask the folks coming to town from New York's metro area including the wonderful people of Long Island and New Jersey, they will tell you his pizza ranks up there with their favorite neighborhood pizzeria. There is so much more to say but at some point you take a leap of faith in where you choose to stay. Its smart to choose to stay with owners that care about cleanliness, reputation, and being credible. Enjoy your stay and win!
