I purchased the property to enjoy the benefits of bicycling and running on the Front Range and to enjoy the proximity of Boulder!Erie is one of the last quaint little coal mining towns that has been very nicely preserved and carefully introduced to tastefully finished cafes and parks.
We loved our 30 day stay in Lesley's Casita and will return again in July. This is a quiet neighborhood within walking distance of restaurants and a short drive to all other amenities. The house is small with two bedrooms and a large enough great room to lounge around in. The back and front porch are nice to sit outside and enjoy the mountain fresh air. Lesley returns emails promptly and Susie and Mark, the care takers, are right next door to help with any issues that arise, they are friendly and helpful. Great place!!
Cute little cottage type home. Had all the amenities we needed and was an easy walk to restaurants and brewery's in Erie. The only drawback was the short shower but I am pretty tall!
Great place walking distance from paths and downtown- everything from the stove to the shower is quaint and tiny which I loved for this short getaway with my husband but may have been tricky with kids.
This cute, historic cottage in the historic part of Erie was a great place to stay while visiting family nearby. We appreciated the info about the house that was on display, the photos of its renovation, and the availability of a historic homes walking guide. The Casita is within 2-3 blocks of restaurants, in a residential area and very quiet. It has some quirky features that bring smiles and make it even more pleasant. We appreciated the cleanliness, bright cheery interior, and comfort of the furnishings. The managers live next door and were very responsive with the one minor issue we encountered (carbon monoxide detector's batteries died). The only addition we would recommend would be to add grab bars in the shower and toilet areas. We will definitely consider staying at the Casita again in the future!
We were in the area to attend a family wedding north of Erie. Other family resides closer to Denver. Perfect location. Enjoyed the town very much. Great restaurant, a very nice farmers market, and all within walking distance. Th Casita is small, but charming and brimming with history. It is well equipped, clean and comfortable. Sue and Mark warmly welcomed us and acquainted us with the area. Although we spent most of the time with family, it was nice to get back to the Casita and relax. Very quiet area.
I recently rented this adorable miner's cottage. It was an easy walk to downtown Erie where some upscale restaurants are opening. I spent most days with family participating in pre wedding festivities so it was nice to come back and unwind in a comfortable and quiet place. Great house in a Central Valley location.
Lovely Coal Creek hiking trails starting at East end of Cheesman, all the way to Erie Airport, Lafayette , Louisville!
