Shores Club 1005 is a glorious destination for your next Daytona Beach getaway. The elevator in this handsomely decorated building whisks you silently to the 10th floor, where all is sparkling clean, new, and immaculately maintained. Slip out to the balcony to admire your view before all else -- you can see the shore for miles, and the sunrise seems perfectly centered in your range of vision! The surf is a soothing murmur, the pelicans parade past, and the water is festooned with boats and floats and swimmers. It's a hypnotic view, and it changes constantly, so you will never tire of watching it.

Step back inside through the sliding glass doors and you will notice that the view comes right inside with you! One whole wall of the living area at Shores Club 1005 is glass, so you can see the ocean and sky from the sofa, dining table, or for that matter, even from the depths of the kitchen!

You will make the most of your downtime in Daytona Beach with the comfy entertainment area in this living room. Leather sofas and a plush armchair invite you to sink right down and relax in front of the large HDTV with cable. The cool tiled floor and spacious, light ambiance are soothing as well after a day on the beach or in the city. Forget those plans to see the nightlife tonight -- you might have to stay in, whip up a pitcher of frosty drinks, and play Pictionary with the whole group!

The open-plan living and dining area at Shores Club 1005 certainly promotes togetherness, and everyone in your group will find his or her own favorite places to stretch out. The balcony calls to those seeking salty breezes and balmy air, while the sofas are ideal for watching a show on TV, and the dining-room table makes a great game center. Put all the cell phones in a basket, just for an hour or two, and re-discover the silly fun of games from Jenga to Old Maid! It might just turn out to be your fondest memory of the whole trip.

Of course, you can also dine at the dining table, but that's really what the balcony does best: al fresco meals that taste so much better in the open air! And even if you're just grabbing take out, the kitchen at Shores Club 1005 is worth giving a second glance. It's highly functional as well as beautiful: the granite countertops contain small appliances galore, while the wooden cabinets are packed with gleaming new cookware, serving dishes, utensils, and chef's tools. The charming lights keep everything warm and bright. All you add is groceries -- this family kitchen is fully stocked with anything else you could need!

After all the fun is over and eyelids are falling, it's time to retire for the night. And this is when you will really appreciate the luxe features of Shores Club 1005. Every bed is wonderfully firm and comfortable; the bedrooms are quiet and restful; and there is even a sleeper sofa for guests! Retire with pleasure, sleep late in the morning, and dream of another perfect day on the shores of the ocean!

The master suite is glorious, featuring a king-sized bed, a flat-screen TV with a handsome wardrobe, a leather reading chair and padded rocker, and sliders going to the balcony for your own midnight star-gazing. Sea and sky views abound in this room, even from your pillow!

The en-suite bath is a treat as well. A dressing and vanity area are separate from the rest of the bathroom, offering a nice big mirror, dresser, and closet. Within the bathroom, there is a both a shower and tub option, granite countertops, a close-up mirror, and all the little touches that make getting ready in the morning just a bit easier.

The second bedroom is ideal for children or friends traveling with you. Two twin beds rest beneath a big sunny window overlooking the sea. There's a private TV in here too, as well as plenty of storage space. This bedroom shares the second bathroom with the common area; this bath offers a walk-in shower. And just to keep all those swimsuits and beach towels fresh, there are a washer and dryer in the laundry room for your use!

The construction workers may have to ask guests to remain inside or outside on the unit while they let the epoxy construction dry. Beautiful property, poor property management

The condo is nicely remodeled and the view/location is perfect. Nice beach, no beach car traffic, friendly neighbors. Nicely decorated with beautiful countertops/floors. Comfortable, clean furniture. New appliances (although the Keurig unit wasn't operational). Nice Margaritaville mixer.

I would normally rate this property high, but the rental company managing this property is not doing a good job. The people I spoke with were polite, friendly, and wanted to help, but the service was poor. We were called a few hours before arriving and told that the two beds in the guest bedroom were broken, and that they were trying to get them repaired. When we arrived at 10:30 that evening, the beds had not been repaired. Both beds had lost support and were collapsed on one corner onto the floor. Books had been used as temporary fixes to prop up the beds, but they didn't work at all and both of my daughters spent the entire week sleeping on beds that were half-way collapsed and at an angle. I called, emailed, and spoke in person to representatives from the management company. No one ever came to fix the beds, despite multiple promises.

Communication prior to arrival was also poor. The arrival information was incorrect and lacking details. The wrong exit number off the interstate was given (luckily we used our own directions), and the instructions on how to enter the unit were incorrect/missing. I emailed ahead of time to clarify, and got no reply. On the drive down, I called and someone answered the phone, and she was able to look up additional instructions and give them to me. Had she not done that, we would have arrived after hours to a unit that could not be opened.

The description states "with your own washer and dryer", but the unit does not have them.

Lastly, the electronic keypad is touch and go. We were locked out at one point (even though we entered the correct key code). A neighbor told us that he often sees people get locked out of the unit. The on-site building manager (not associated with the rental agency) could not open the door. He doesn't have the key. He called the rental company, and a representative arrived within about 20 minutes to give us an actual key to use to get into the unit. If you rent this unit, I advise you to ask for an actual key. If you are locked out after hours, they will charge you $75 to get into the unit (according to a sign in the elevator).

We apologize immensely for the miscommunication on our end. It was not our intent to cause you any inconveniences but to make sure that your vacationing rental experience was a great one. We understand your frustrations as we clearly missed the mark and we thank you for allowing us to try to resolve the issues. There is no rhyme nor reason why this issue could not be resolved prior to your arrival and we apologize for the discontentment that it caused. We believed the bed frames could be fixed in a timely matter and unfortunately that was not the case. New bed frames have since been added to the unit and are ready for guest use. We do understand the importance of detail and have completed an audit of the given information to make sure that these mistakes do not happen again. There is a washer and dryer available for guest use. Just prior to entering your vacation rental, there is a second door with the unit number that includes the washer and dryer along with prime washing essentials. This can be easy to miss and we are sorry if this detail was not relayed to you accurately. We thank you for taking the time to share your feedback and comments. This is how we continue to improve and see what changes are needed to make the vacationing rental process for our guests undeniably worthwhile. Sadly, we cannot replenish any lost time but we were glad that we could provide you with some reimbursement for the troubles that you endured during your stay. We know that it will take time to regain your trust, but we truly hope that you will give us the opportunity to host you in the future and give you that 5-star vacation experience.
