About this property

Johnson Ranch SanTan Valley Golfing, Swimming, Hiking, & for Lovers of Nature

Our home is where our heart is. As guests you will see and feel the same as we do. The eastern sun fills the back patio and lingers into the afternoon, and if you prefer shade crank up the patio umbrella. Looking out from the patio are mature Queen Palms, perennial flowering bushes that provide a feeling of Springtime warmth even in the middle of cool winter. Set the table for breakfast, or an evening barbeque dinner. On the back patio gather around the gas-fired pit, and take a dip in our heated pool (it can be heated at your request and an added fee). The 3 heated community pools and hot tub will be available to guests of Stonegate. The front patio provides a semi-private setting as it is surrounded by the Sago palms and Oleander as it has some privacy and visual appeal. All appliances are updated to provide an uninterrupted vacation experience. Every room has black-out window treatments for additional privacy. Bathrooms are equipped with taller toilets & hand-held shower heads and both bathrooms have grab handles. The large tub washer and dryer are also updated. The dining room seats 6. The cookware, flatware, and carving sets are also newer. We have provided ceiling fans in every room that can be adjusted to fit your comfort level. Floor tile throughout the house for a cleaner-air environment. The master bedroom is equipped with a king-size bed and bedside lamps with nightstands. Bedrooms 2 and 3 are equipped with queen-size beds, lamps, and dressers. There are 2 large screen TVs in addition to the one in the living room, and those are located in bedroom #2, and the family room. Wifi is also provided. Getting to the golf course and the pool will be enjoyable in the golf cart. The golf course has entertainment and delicious food. Tennis , and pickleball courts are also available to Stonegate guests, so join in the fun. A short walk takes you to Walgreen, Circle K, Fry's food market, in addition, nail and hair salons, postal needs, and fast food restaurants. Also in walking distance are auto repair and tire stores. Conveniences abound in our location! location! location!. Welcome to our valley of the sun !

Family Christmas vacation

Had a great stay for our annual Christmas vacation. Tom met us at the house upon arrival which was a very nice. He went through the house with us, explained the pool functions and was in communication with us promptly as needed. We absolutely loved this home. The pool was great and the golf cart was just an added bonus for us. The house was clean and well stocked. Would definitely stay here again. Mike and Debbie Canada

Arizona stay

The house was very comfortable and beautifully decorated. We were supplied with everything we needed. The pool was a nice bonus (even though we didn’t use it much because we were so busy!). Tom and Donna were very friendly and responsive to any questions or concerns we may have had. It was truly our “home away from home”. If we make our way back out there we will for sure book with Tom and Donna again!!

HOME AWAY FROM HOME!

Tom & Donna's home was absolutely perfect for us! Just enough room for our 2 couples and local family to come visit. We loved the charm and character in the backyard. Having a heated pool in December is the BEST! The home had everything that we needed, but there were lots of places to eat so close that we really didn't have the need to cook in the house. We also appreciated the use of the golf cart, and access to the community pool and pickleball courts. Tom & Donna were just a text away but also were available for a face to face meetup which we loved! All the beds were very comfortable, and my 78+ old parents appreciated the bathroom handles. :). Thank you again! We will be back soon!

This is OUR Home away from home!

Honestly, we don't want this secret to get out about this cozy hidden gem, but we absolutely adore this house and its owners! Unlike dealing with a typical management company, you’ll be renting from thoughtful, local owners who go above and beyond. Their communication is excellent, and the home is stocked with everything you could need. The pride they take in their property is evident in the impeccable condition of the house, the serene backyard pool, and the tranquil garden oasis.Nestled in a peaceful/gated neighborhood, you’ll have access to amenities like pools, hot tubs, and pickleball/basketball courts, golf all while being conveniently close to restaurants and shopping. The home is ideal for two to three couples or a small family, and elder adults will appreciate the one-level home and thoughtful safety features, like grab bars in the restrooms. We hated to leave but will be back for sure! Thank you Tom & Donna! We appreciate you so much!

Paradise in San Tan Valley

Superb! Everything that Tom and Donna wrote about their beautiful home was spot-on! This is not just a rental, but it is their home: well decorated, everything you need as far as supplies, plenty of space and storage, clean, and comfortable beds! The kitchen is newly remodeled and spacious! The back yard area is amazing - Tom and Donna have created a Shangri-la! They have creatively landscaped the area around the pool into a beautiful winter retreat - lovely flowers, palm trees swaying in the breeze, flowering bushes, birds singing, and hummingbirds darting in and out of the feeders. The pool is lovely and inviting, not too big, not too small, and plenty of room for swimming and the pool floats. There are two beautiful and comfortable chaise lounges - a perfect place to have a cup of coffee and read a book. There is a marvelous gas fire table that not only provides heat, but it is beautiful to view as you sit around it and chat in the evening hours. We enjoyed all the neighbors who are so friendly and the Johnson Ranch golf course just down the street - easily accessed with the golf cart that Tom and Donna provide. There is so much more when you rent here, especially getting to know our hosts. They are amazing and if you have a question or something needs tending, they respond immediately. They are more than hosts, they have become friends! We are already planning our return - we love it here!

Winter paradise.

Great property and wonderful owners who were very responsive to any questions or needs. Location is close to many activities and shopping. Community pool and clubhouse were close by. Fun winter retreat.

We thoroughly enjoyed our time! All the greenery around the pool, the hummingbirds, and colourful flowers truly made this a paradise for us snow-weary, sun-seeking Canadians! The house was clean and comfortable, and just the right size. Aside from a misunderstanding over check out time, it was the perfect holiday!

We have been living in Az for 18 years and we are originally from the northeast of the U.S. and we never looked back. This is our home and renting it to others gives us the chance to share what we love and do some travelling as well. Our travels take us to some of the most beautiful parts of Arizona. Scenic drives take us to the red rocks of Sedona for a weekend of sheer tranquillity and nature walking. Jerome is another destination that appears carved out of the side of a mountain that provides history and education of the early years of coal mining and the pitfalls of being the original settlers. We love the small-town feel of Bisbee that bustles with restaurants and small shops that seem to go on forever. However, if you are like us and just want a local breakfast restaurant you must try Biscuits Cafe, it's a walking distance away. If you enjoy entertainment with an extended menu you must try SanTan Flats always the place to go with friends and just 5 miles away. Just 20 miles away is Mesa Market for recreational shopping. Entry to the market and parking is free. 900 merchants in high season and half that amount in the off-season. There is so much to see bring family and friends, they will enjoy it !

Why they chose this property

The neighborhood has an intimate sleepy sort of feel to it. It is a gated community. The design is one block by 5 blocks long and it is tucked in between the bustle of Hunt Hwy and the tranquility of Johnson Ranch golf course. All the houses are on one level so there is more backyard privacy between the houses. Only a few blocks away are the tennis/pickleball courts, pool, and hot tub. The residents of Stonegate we find are welcoming and gracious. Conversations abound on our walks through the neighborhood, many walk their pets or just go for a good hike but one thing is for sure you will see the same person twice because of its intimate quality.

What makes this property unique

This is our primary residence that we are offering for a vacation rental of which we occupy most of the year. Over the years we have made upgrades to both the interior and exterior of our home and the upgrades we made were solely of our preferences in mind and so that it would be a more convenient living space for us. Without the thought of ever renting it out and in a serendipitous sort of way, conveniences that we have made for ourselves our guests would also benefit from. That is why we feel you will enjoy our special place.
