FRENTE AL MAR Rodanthe- East Point Dr. Esta acogedora casa de campo tradicional de playa se encuentra a pocos metros de su propia franja de hermosas playas, lo que le permite disfrutar de una vista excepcional del océano. ANCHORS AWAY tiene dos habitaciones, cada una con su propio televisor. Uno es un dormitorio principal de la reina. El otro tiene una cama queen y una litera. Hay muchos libros y juegos para un día lluvioso, pero querrás pasar el tiempo aquí en el jardín delantero, en la playa o en la terraza frente al mar con tu bebida favorita, simplemente mirando las olas. Después de una estancia en este hogar cómodo y asequible, querrá dejar su ancla aquí otra vez. Esta casa no tiene parrilla.

Perfect for my husband and I. Right on the beach so location was spot on. Erosion has taken out other houses but this older cottage is still sturdy!

New Happy Place

Our trip to the Outer Banks was our first trip there ever! And not only do we fall in love with Rodanthe. We also found love with the house we rented, and our family had the most amazing time! We can’t wait to go back next year.

Cozy house right on the beach

This cute two bedroom was the perfect size for our nuclear family. The deck is perfect for drinking coffee and watching the sun rise. The house is pretty much right on the beach. At high tide the waves sometimes even come up under the house. Any closer houses are already condemned!Renting through Surf or Sound couldn’t be easier. When we arrived there was a care package with essentials we might have forgotten to bring, though I would recommend bringing a couple more hand soaps. Beach towels and shower supplies are not included. I rented a kayak but didn’t feel confident launching it into the ocean so it never got used. If you want to kayak I recommend going to one of the outfitters on the sound side.

Coronavirus got us!!!!

We were not able to stay at this location because Dare County officials believed it was unsafe for « outsiders » to come onto the island. They set up checkpoints (communist blockades) to keep people out so we did not get to go. Paid for the house and finally got everything refunded back. VRBO did great in helping us. The property management company knew that the island was going to be shut down and took my money anyway. They then the next day said I couldn’t go and I couldn’t get a refund.... I didn’t get to go but made some phone calls to bank and consumer affairs and several other regulatory agencies. Hopefully one day I will make it to the outer banks. It will be with VRBO but not this Property managing company!!!!

Little slice of heaven

Lots of big new houses in area but came across this one and while not fancy, it was the perfect fit. Expansive window and deck looking onto beach just steps away. Well stocked kitchen for folks like us who like to cook, steady internet, overall perfect. Had a beautiful week and hope to return to this special home.

Great property, Management company was a total fail!

Pros: Exceptionally well furnished property right by the ocean! Thoughtful owners. The place is a delight! Cons: Dryer was not working, however, when we got there and master bathroom rug smelled of urine. Both these problems could have been easily remedied by management NEVER RESPONDED to voice mail messages amd texts. Owner should fire management agent.
