I do not charge an extra pet fee or cleaning fee, all included in nightly rate. VRBO is required to collect taxes, insurance and Vrbo service fee. This Vacation Home is 100% owner managed.

A note for traveling guests w/ out dogs- don't worry the house is very clean, while Captain's is dog friendly, the house is thoroughly cleaned after each guest, no carpeting in house, area rugs are steam cleaned frequently, all comforters are washed every week and more. As one non pet guest stated “ the house is graciously pet friendly, though you wouldn’t notice”. Of all the 5 star reviews- guests appreciated and mention how clean Captain's Hideout is.

Captain's Hideout is Waterfront and privately situated. Peaceful, quiet small residential neighborhood. Only Steps to your private sound front beach with no crowds. The beach is bulkheaded, and immediately is approx. 3'-4' deep, perfect for all watersports, swimming and dogs that love to swim. From your decks~ Enjoy the gorgeous sunsets on the Pamlico sound. Morning coffee on the deck, wildlife passing by, the hammock under the oaks, take a sunrise paddleboard. Après-beach enjoy a cozy beach fire in the evening.

It is easy to spend a day just hanging out on the beach here, right at home. A unique advantage of Captains Hideout is the private sandy beach and sound front, bay, just steps from the house. No long walk down a hot path toting heavy chairs, gear, SUP's, kayaks, coolers etc. Literally 50 steps to the beach, Adirondack chairs are in place. The easy access makes Captains Hideout a favorite place for those wishing to enjoy the sound front beach, gorgeous water views and sitting by the water without the long haul. The close proximity of the decks to the sound means guests that may prefer decks can enjoy the views and watch water activities in comfort also. Waterfront home, suitable for watersports. Après' the beach, water, wind and sun, enjoy relaxing on the decks for sunset Happy Hour. Ride bikes to the Avon Pier, beach, local restaurants, Pangea Tavern, Ketch 55 Seafood Grill, Po House, The Mad Crabber.

Pets ~ dogs friendly. Please let me know in advance size and number of pups. Limit says 2 but I will consider additional pets. I do not charge any additional pet fees because pets are family. I just ask owners to be respectful in terms of cleaning up after pets.
