Great property with some cleanliness issues

Great, spacious house with a large grassy yard in a nice suburban neighborhood within a 10 minute walk to the coffee shop and grocery store. The house is stocked with clean linens and cupboards full of dishes and glasses. Kate was easy to communicate with and was gracious enough to give us a late check-out due to a miscommunication. However, we were somewhat disappointed by some cleanliness issues in the house: mouse droppings on the kitchen counter, broken glass under the kitchen radiator and numerous flies in the kitchen.

Amazing location and house for families/friends

We absolutely loved the location of this farm house! It was super close to 93, state parks and hiking, Littleton and Lincoln were only a short drive away; it was seriously the best location we could have asked for! The house is “split” in such a way it was perfect for the family with children to sleep in the room with bunk beds and have their own “wing” of the house, while the other side has the queen rooms with its own bath. We took advantage of the yard games they provided and the fire pit, too. We would have liked a binder of the general house info or things to do in the area, as there was a lot of exchange with the host (who was available and helpful!) but it could have been addressed in a binder of info. Since the garage is used for their business and knowingly off limits to us guests, it still would have been another good to know that it would be visited very regularly from the company’s employees. It was a bit spooky hearing and seeing strangers approach the house/cars not knowing they were there for the garage at first. All in all, everything went smoothly and it’s a great spot to call “home” for extended stays. Will be planning to visit again!

A musty odor greeted us as we walked in. May have been related to laundry area in entry, but seemed to be noticeable through house. Owner informed about it on check in; said she would investigate after our stay. Also, discovered sheet pan of roasted peppers in oven after we preheated it the first time. House is convenient to Franconia and Cannon, but listing mentioned ski in/ski out, which it is not. Also, the property is clearly the home of a landscaping/snow plowing company with trucks and equipment sharing the driveway. It wasn’t an issue for us, but might be for some.

Wedding Weekend in Franconia

The house is in a great location in Franconia and is within walking distance from downtown. The house was spotless, and all necessities for bedding and baths were provided. It is a very comfortable place for a family to gather!

Great house, great location.

We loved the location of the house in Franconia - quiet street, easily bikeable to town, trails, river and the park. Quick highway access. Nice backyard. House had everything we needed. Nice, clean updated farmhouse! Bigger than pictures show. Would love to stay again.

There couldn't be a better location than the Fox Hill House! So easy to find, right off 93 with no bumpy backroads while being totally private. Downtown is a 5 minute walk.
