We enjoyed our stay at this cute little cabin. It was clean and the views are nice. The host communicated well and was very helpful with any questions.
Excellent communication with owner, very helpful and responsive. Cabin was beautiful and clean, exactly what we needed. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay there! We’ll be back!!
I never could access the property, the keyless lock did not work and I never received help to gain access. No response to my request and as a result, my vacation cost me twice as much as I had to scramble to find lodging during the Rodrun week. The result was lower quality rooms and no kitchen so dining out for every meal became expensive. Finally I will never again book with you or use your services. I did receive messages from you with two other codes but again to little and to late. On a different note, the receptionist was unique being a mother bear with her two small cubs and a mere 15 feet separating us. Simply an adult would have been adequate and I will admit the cubs were adorable. Good day.
I rented in march and paid in full. Host took money and never sent me info on until 15 minutes before check in. I had sent messages trying calling no answer. Vrbo did also while I was on phone. Nothing. Vrbo told me to reserve another place and they would refund. Well now they’re saying I have to handle. They sent me email to send to my credit card company to see if I can get my funds back. This host does not respond and waits last minute to give you info on. We drove 5 hours and got 20 minutes till and still nothing and I called Vrbo. They are only refunding the difference between 1st and 2nd rental.
Cabin and host were great, very quiet. Road is narrow in places and very hilly. We had no problem going up or down in a 2023 Kia Sportage. May have been hard if there was snow on hill. Host said in bad weather, you may need a 4x4.
To start with, the location is lovely with a gorgeous view off the deck. It is a nice size cabin and the kitchen came well-equipped. The washer and dryer are great to have as well and the beds were comfortable. The downsides are considerable though. The front steps are three different heights with nails sticking out, creating numerous tripping hazards. Two of the three kitchen chairs were broken - one has a back about to fall off and another is missing the bottom support rungs making it very wobbly. The upholstered chair in the living room is literally falling apart and the tv stand in leaning forward so badly you cannot put anything on it.Another concerning thing was the mouse issue. A mouse came out of the fireplace, moving slowly and looking unwell, at one point and we were able to get it outside far from the cabin. Another mouse, a short time later, darted across the cabin from kitchen to bathroom. The most concerning thing was the lack of any response at all from the homeowner when I messaged them about the mouse issue. I was simply notifying them of it post-stay, not asking for a refund or anything, just an FYI but they did not bother to respond. Between this and the very automated feel of their other messages (along with a problem that even VRBO could not get in touch with them about) I would not rent from them again. It feels like this is a bothersome business to them.
Our first time trying Vrbo and overall our stay at this location was good. Cabin needs more improvements and I would highly recommend to host reinforce on dogs must be crated while you out in town without them. It did affect certain things at our cabin. My dogs were crated when we were out in Dollywood and other places. It’s a good location with short drive to many entertainments. WiFi worked perfect. Driving up and down hill was a tricky task but we made it. Road needs more maintenance done. Didn’t have any trouble communicating with the Host.
The cabin was basic but very clean. The bed was very comfortable and the shower was great. The road up to the cabin is paved (single lane) but needs repairs. The bathroom is not built for handicapped or large people. You would need to bring things like dish towels, dish soap, soap, laundry articles, spices for cooking with, etc. our 4 day stay was comfortable and felt safe. Thank you for your hospitality Farmer Family.
