Good, but not great.

The property manager was adequately helpful.

The vacation rental was clean.

I was very unhappy with the location.

I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental.

Reviewer Comments:

A nice condo. Plenty of room. Bedrooms upstairs. Plenty of kitchen ammenities. However, be aware that the listed price per night is only a beginning. The property management company adds plenty of additional "fees", so that we paid much more than was expected for the quality of lodging. In addition, it is very close to many other condos that are lived in year-round. Needless to say, the children play outside at night, yelling , screaming and generally having a fun time. But it makes you feel that you're at a park or something. Add to that, the loud music that is played in the cars that are coming in and out of the parking area right next to your bedroom window. The "Boom, Boom, Boom," and Mariachi Band music is something you need to at least be aware of...

This is a very nice property. It has an easy to use gas fireplace which is nice, and is nicely decorated, with a comfortable bed and good closet space, but it has some problems. 1) there is no designated parking place, so if you come back late you may have to park on the street, and on busy weekends this could mean way down the street. I think this is ridiculous for a condo, where every unit should have one space assigned to it. And guests are not allowed to use the garage, despite the fact that it's empty. 2) there is another condo complex behind this one that has the brightest security lights you can imagine, so even with the blinds closed, the master bedroom is too bright. And the blinds are damaged so they don't make a very tight closure anyway. 3) the kitchen cabinets where the dishes and glasses are, are so high it's very difficult for someone of my height, 5'3" to reach. The only reason I stay here is because it is close to Hearst Castle where I work nights, so it makes for a short commute, but I won't be staying here again. This latest trip I encountered a new problem. The entry way where there are two doors to the two units was so full of some sort of overpowering laundry smell, like dryer sheets I could barely breathe. I've never experienced anything quite so intense. I couldn't find the exhaust, but for some reason it all collected in the entry. I unfortunately am sensitive to these things in that large a concentration. It didn't smell inside the unit, but was eventually apparent that it was seeping in somewhere as I started having problems even shut in the unit. Luckily I had to go to work shortly and it had dispersed by the time I returned.
