The Little Red Cottage at Pleasure Beach

A charming beach cottage with all the makings for a perfect beach getaway. The cottage has a loft bedroom and sleeper sofa In living room that opens to an outdoor porch. There is a newly renovated fully equipped eat in kitchen with full size appliances including washer and dryer. Enjoy the relaxing water views from the front porch and upstairs bedroom.

Outdoor living spaces include a scenic front porch, a large backyard with fire pit, a patio drop lite dining space with a farmhouse picnic table and outdoor lawn games. You will be steps away from a private beach, picturesque sandbars perfect for clamming or setting camp on you own private “island” and a state boat launch for local fishing. After the beach enjoy a private outdoor shower to wash away the sand.brought back from your day.

The rental has access to private and public town beaches.

A 5 minute drive to the seaside village of Niantic for shopping eating and outdoor recreation. 10 minute drive to historic New London and about 20 minute drive to the historic area of Mystic and the Stonington Borough. 20 minutes from Mohegan Sun Casino and 25 minutes from Foxwoods Casino.

The cottage was charming, clean and well stocked with just about anything you would need. The beach is the best, private and immaculate and a very short walk. Christina was very responsive to a small issue that arose which she resolved in less than an hour. We couldn't have asked for a better host and we will definitely be going back.

Perfect place for a getaway!

Small space but had everything we needed for two people. So close to the beach which was great. Rained so didn’t get to use the firepit. Kitchen and bathroom had everything we could have forgotten. Communication with the owner was easy and quick!

Anniversary/Birthday Getaway

We spent the weekend at the Little Red Cottage! It is adorable, compact, well-appointed and stocked with everything one might need. The hostess was friendly, attentive, accommodating and responsive. The location is convenient to beaches, restaurants, major highways and stores. Strongly recommend for 2 adults and/or 2 adults and smaller children as it is a compact home. LOVED it!!

Wonderful, quaint home to stay in the with a family or two couples. We loved Pleasure Beach and there’s a lot within close driving distance. Already looking forward to next visit.

Great location and adorable property

This was an adorable little cottage with nice updates. It was clean, comfortable and the location cannot be beat -- close to the beach and to numerous seaside towns and tourist attractions. We love it and would definitely return!

Perfect Fall Trip

We really enjoyed everything about the Little Red Cottage. It was the perfect location for day trips around the state. Everything was just as it stated it would be and the host provided clear and concise information for check in and out. We enjoyed the peaceful neighborhood with perfect location to everything. Perfect getaway

My daughter and I stayed here for a few days and were very pleased with location and cleanliness. The hosts have done a great job providing info for anything you could need in area along with anything you should need at the house. Would stay here again.

Cute Cottage in Beautiful Location

No issues with booking, check-in or maintenance. This was a very nice cottage in an excellent location (quiet, close to the beaches, Niantic and New London) with plenty to do. We won't hesitate to book it again the next time we're in the area.

Charming Cottage and Convenient Location

We enjoyed are weekend stay at the Little Red Cottage. Everything was as described and a very convenient location for hiking, biking and a trip to Mystic Seaport. Abundant bird life and a bunny on the property were a pleasant surprise.

This was exactly what we needed, our kids loved the beach time and the surrounding areas have plenty to do. It’s just big enough for two under 10’s and two adults, the outdoor space makes it easy. We would go back!

Why they chose this property

The Little Red Cottage provides a charming escape for many different groups of guests- family with small children, couples, girls weekend, ...the list goes on! Built in 1912 -The Little Red Cottage is one of the original cottages in the Pleasure Beach area. The cottage was purchased in 2017 and completely renovated with many updates but keeping it's beach charm. When we took it over in 2020, we continued to update with many additions to the outdoor spaces, making it a fun beach getaway!
