Ven y disfruta del Edgewater, ubicado a una corta distancia a pie del centro de Cedar Key. El restaurante y las tiendas comienzan a 300 metros de la casa. El hogar está ubicado en el este de Bayou, disfrute de las mareas entrando y saliendo, hermosos amaneceres, muchas aves costeras, salmonetes y ocasionales marsopas en el canal. Gran patio tiene viejos Live Oaks, columpios, palmeras nativas y muchos hibiscos. Excelente debajo del porche de la casa, ofrece mucha sombra, hay columpios, mesas y sillas para su disfrute ... un lugar perfecto en clima soleado o lluvioso. Hay 3 dormitorios, el dormitorio principal tiene una cama King, el segundo dormitorio tiene una cama de tamaño completo, el tercer dormitorio tiene 2 gemelos. La cocina y la terraza de arriba dan a la costa, el amplio y amplio salón tiene muchos asientos para sus invitados. Hay una excelente pesca en los planos de trucha, caballa española y pez rojo, en alta mar para mero y pargo. House está convenientemente ubicado directamente al otro lado de la calle del puerto deportivo Cedar Key. La acera de la casa recorre toda la ciudad.

Very cute house in CK!

The house was clean and well furnished. The couches in the living room were a dream to sink into while watching a movie. But, the outside view was the best!!! Phenomenal property. You can easily walk downtown. Well stocked kitchen. I will definitely stay again.

Fantastic Trip

The property is well kept and beautiful scenery from the porch and deck. Plenty of room for boat and truck. Rosemary reached to us prior to our stay and was informative, helpful and available for questions or concerns. Loved the layout of the house, very spacious. Location of the property was perfect. Private yet close to town and the boat ramp. I would highly recommend this place to anyone whether a couple or a family. Fantastic trip !

Edgewater Stay

Wonderful little slice of old Florida. The Bayou this property overlooks is ever changing and we loved just sitting on the porch relaxing and watching the wildlife. It has all the amenities needed for a long or short stay. I highly recommend this to anyone who enjoys the "Real Florida" that so many never take the time to see.

Another perfect Cedar Key stay

My friends and I have been coming to Cedar Key in July for over 20 years. It is a special old place with lots of history and wild nature. The Edgewater was a perfect place to enjoy it. The property is well maintained, nicely appointed, and thoughtfully provisioned. You don't notice the highway on one side, unavoidable because Cedar Key is a tiny strip of land. The porch, kitchen, and deck made for good viewing of the marsh and its wild life. We saw redfish tailing, Osprey building a nest, Roseate Spoonbills, Laughing Gulls, Lousiana Herons, Great Blue Herons, White Ibis, Crows, Pelicans, and Black Crowned Night Herons. It would be a little bit of a haul to the shore. But you could launch a canoe or kayak from the property. But beware the muddy bottom, oysters, and low tide. That is Cedar Key. You can rent kayaks "downtown" and canoe the slightly deeper water and visit the original Cedar Key, Atsena Otie Key. We always dine at the Island Hotel our lst night. The meal is always fabulous. The owner Ms. Cooke was very responsive and darned charming.

Wonderful vacation destination

We had an amazing trip to the Edgewater. The property is not new, but well maintained and immaculate. There is every utensil you could possibly use, pots and pans, a stocked pantry and anything else you would need for an enjoyable stay. Rosemary is very helpful and responsive to messages. She is always available to give suggestions and help. I couldn't wait to get up every morning and sit out on the deck and drink my coffee with a spectacular view. There were many rosette spoonbills, Ibis and osprey. Watching them and the tides were amazing. We went for the 4th of July holiday and were very impressed with the fireworks at the beach. We loved walking around the downtown area. They have many restaurants and bars, shops and numerous water activities. We took the Cedar Key boat trip to Atsena Otie Island and spent the day on the beach. That was an awesome trip! Best $15 spent! The guys booked a charter on Breaking Nets with Brandon Burke. They really enjoyed that! Brought home specs for dinner. Be sure to rent a street legal golf cart or use the Tiki Taxi. That is the best way to get around. This was our second visit and cannot wait to go back. Thank you Rosemary for sharing your wonderful home.

Always a Great Experience

We love the edgewater house. We stay here every year for a guys fishing trip. It’s very comfortable for 4 grown men. The Napping in between fishing is amazing here.

A Jewel in Cedar Key!

Clean, charming, comfortable, quaint, and quiet. Includes a magnificent view from a beautiful porch- perfect for coffee and mimosas or afternoon cocktails. Convenient access to the water via a private dock. A paradise for birding (including a spectacular osprey nest platform), adorned with fabulous foliage(glorious hibiscus) and plenty of fish. Owners were abundantly accomdating, prompt, and thorough with their communication. Plenty of cathartic vintage Florida vibes. A perfect little weekend getaway spot for a couple or small group of friends. Give this one a try-your soul will thank you!

Was so great to find this hidden gem. Close access to everything but a whole oasis out the back door. Watched a pair of ospreys build a nest and the best sunrises.

Loved the sunrise view off the upper deck, & staying in a house on stilts. It was great walking distance to everything we wanted to do. Everyone at Cedar Key was super friendly. The fishing was great. Looking forward to coming back & renting kayaks & a golf cart for getting around & parking easier.

Nice quiet stay! Enjoyed the birds out back. Osprey, pelicans. My husband fished off the sock when the water was at high tide, and caught several small catfish. Rented a golf cart one fay and explored the island. Island hotel was really interesting! Robinsons was a good place to eat! Theres a cool little park located behind the cemetary. Would recommend! Host was quick to get back to us! Make sure to take extra toilet paper, as there was only what was left on the rolls. Bring bug spray. Once rhe grass was mowed midweek, the outside was so much better! Everything inside was pretty comfy, the bed and living area.

Wonderful 4 night stay!

The view from the upstairs porch was so serene ! (There was a full moon at night that shone on the bayou... Wow! ) The downstairs patio was great for grilling and a different view of the bayou, plenty of chairs and space. We loved our morning coffee looking at the birds..... ospreys, rosy spoonbills and the boats going out !! Beautiful white cat came to say hello everyday❤️The kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed to cook meals ! Lovely dishes, bowls, glassware ect we loved using ! Beds were all comfy too. Easy drive into town...... We will be back!

Carting community

Great place to stay, be sure to rent carts with license plate, and bring solid coconut oil to rub on for the no seums. View is amazing, has a unique Tiki bar just down the street. Amazing sunset sets from their docks. House is perfectly located for tiki bar, grocery store and quick to get to dock street where everything is at. Just a great relaxing place to be!!

We really enjoyed this property. It has a great sitting area. Perfect Dock to fish from. I’ve been coming to Cedar Key for the last 30 years and this is our new go to property to stay at from now on. The property manager is easy to communicate with and was very prompt to answer back with questions and answers

Most relaxing time ever

Better than home ❣️ Even had an outside kitty. Sat out on the deck every morning and had coffee, so relaxing. Took a ride around the town and saw all the beautiful houses, and ate way to much lol. Beds were great and plenty of room.

Perfect Property Fish Group

This is the fourth time I’ve stayed at this location, and I’ll continue to stay at this location in the future. I bring my boat, this location is perfect for self supporting fish groups 4-5 people. Great location, nice clean house.

I’m a 3rd generation native to Cedar Key. My grandfather brought “pound net fishing” from Denmark to this small island in the 1800’s. He was very successful. My father was a commercial fisherman. He fished for many different types of fish during all the different seasons catching mullet, trout, pompano, he also turtle fished. My mother worked beside him on the boat. They blue crabbed, stone crabbed, net fished, scalloped, oystered, clammed. We owned and operated an Oyster house, and we also smoked mullet, our mother Madge made the first “smoked mullet” dip in Cedar Key that started a craze all over the state of Florida. After our father passed away, our mother started Johnson’s Restaurant where my sisters and I worked side by side for many many years. We worked hard but had a wonderful life on this beautiful island we call home.
