We had great, clear communication with the host. The house was amazing— comfortable, just as described, and well provisioned. A phenomenal setting for a once-in-a-lifetime weekend!
Wonderful property in beautiful private setting. Close to the park and a short drive to Estes Park, this property was very conveniently located. Had a few small issues upon arrival, but property manager took care of them immediately. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely consider this property again on a future trip to Estes Park.
We stayed a week with our three children and their families. Great house, well appointed kitchen, three washer/dryers, beautiful vistas.. plenty of deer and elk visited. Lovely vacation home
Our family had a lovely time in this beautiful mountain cabin. Lots of wildlife and amazing views. highly recommend staying here anytime you’re in the Estes Park area.

Thank you for staying at Rivendell - we so much enjoy spreading the love of Estes Park, the majestic views of the mountains, and our great wildlife with our guests!
We stayed at Rivendale Log Cabin in Estes Park for my son’s wedding, and it was absolutely perfect. The home was spacious, comfortable, and beautifully kept; the perfect place for our family to gather during such a meaningful time. From start to finish, communication with the host was kind, thoughtful, and easy, which made our stay even more enjoyable and stress-free.Rivendale will always hold a special place in our hearts,
This cabin was cozy, clean and large enough for our family to spread out! It was close to the Rocky Mountain National Park entrance and the little town of Estes Park. There was plenty for our family to do near the cabin. Our favorite part of the cabin was the four seasons room on the back, it was so cozy and the view was incredible. Can’t think of a better view to read our little his stories before nap time! We even got to saw a group of horse riders passing right through the front yard while we sat on the deck. 10/10 would love to visit this property again
Loved this property. Absolutely gorgeous and had everything we wanted. Fully stocked. Great place for large family gathering. Great communication with property manager. Close to Estes Park and RMNP.
Working with the owners and managers was excellent and easy. Great location and property was clean, spacious, and comfortable. I would stay here again in a heart beat.

THANK YOU!!! We loved having you too. We hope we get the chance to host you again.
The Rivendell was just as listed, LOVED the porch!! Wonderful location, close to Estes and RMNP yet far enough away from the hustle and bustle of downtown Estes. No issues with water as others have stated(we had 10 in our party that stayed there). Dan, owner and Trish, property manager were wonderful to work with. Saw lot of wildlife during our stay. Would definitely stay here again! Thank you Heard/Drew families for sharing your cabin with us!!
The home was beautiful and exactly as it appeared in the listing. The location was close enough to town but still offered quiet surroundings. I would definitely enjoy booking this house again.

About the host
Hosted by Trish Ronan, Property Manager, Dan & Kelly Heard, Owners
Dan and Kelly Heard and their daughter and son-in-law Kendra and Patrick Drew are Texans who enjoy several weeks in the Colorado Rockies each year. We have owned this property together since September of 2014 and have enjoyed improving it and sharing it with family, friends, and many fantastic vacationers. Our favorite times are when our other children and grandchildren are all here together.
Why they chose this property
We have owned this property together since September of 2014 and have enjoyed improving it and sharing it with family, friends, and many fantastic vacationers. It is next to the YMCA so you can travel here with friends. We are on a little river too and we can hike directly into the RMNP!
What makes this property unique
In the summer we love hiking together and in the winter snow shoeing close by or skiing at Eldora just over an hour away. We are a little out of town, so you feel private and secluded, but dinner is just 10 minutes away.
