Welcome to your Venice getaway! This spacious, comfortable home is the perfect base for enjoying everything the area has to offer. Inside, you’ll find a Brunswick billiards table in excellent condition with brand-new Simonis 860 cloth and new bumpers, lightning-fast 500 Mbps fiber internet, and keyless electronic entry for easy, secure access.
The renovated pool room features its own large-screen TV—perfect for relaxing after a day in the sun. Just off the kitchen is a bright and inviting Florida Room, complete with two recliners, a hide-a-bed couch, and another large-screen TV. It’s a wonderful spot for morning coffee, reading, or accommodating extra guests.
Step through the Florida Room into the screened-in lanai, furnished with a table and chairs—ideal for outdoor dining, card games, or simply unwinding in the fresh air without the bugs.
The kitchen is fully equipped and welcoming, with seating at both the table and the island. You’ll feel right at home in this tropical setting, conveniently located near all of Venice’s best attractions.
For outdoor fun, take advantage of two bicycles to explore the famous Legacy Trail, just 2.5 miles away. Head to the beaches with the provided chairs, umbrellas, and shark-tooth hunting scoops, or enjoy fishing at the Venice Pier, only 5 miles from the home—no saltwater license required. Fishing poles, tackle, a bait bucket, and a cooler are all available for your use.
Golfers will love having 10 excellent courses within five miles, while nature lovers can explore Oscar Scherer State Park for hiking, canoeing, fishing, and swimming. In spring, catch Atlanta Braves Spring Training at CoolToday Park, just 7 miles away. Downtown Venice is also nearby, offering great dining, charming shops, and a relaxed coastal vibe. For everyday convenience, a Walmart Supercenter is just one mile away.

Clean well equipped home in a convenient location

Great communications and response from friendly owner made our stay enjoyable. Central location to Venice and Englewood gives quick access to shopping, beaches, and restaurants. Home was very well equipped. Would definitely visit again!

Best placed we've ever stayed

Feels just like staying at home, but with the great Florida weather. Everything exceptional, comfortable and easy to use. Wonderful having a garage, and the location is first rate. Would recommend the property to anyone. Service from the owner and property manager, although no problems needed service, was exceptional, excellent recommendations for local activities and the book showing reviews of area facilities was very helpful.

Terrific find!

This property was perfect for us; from the screened in lanai to the double garage where we could keep our small fishing boat out of sight. Charlie the owner was very responsive and nice. Highly recommend this property for families also as it is close to great beaches and hiking trails as well as kayaking, etc. We hope to be able to come back next year!

Great location.

This home was perfect, simple and had everything necessary to have a relaxing time. There are three close public beaches, shopping, and dinning anywhere you would like. Some household items were dated. We spend most of our time outside so this was no bother. The owner kept in contact to make sure our stay was going well. We travel often and appreciate owners who care.We would stay here again and appreciated the allowance of our fur baby!

Most pleasant stay

Property was as described, very comfortable and roomie (I’d might suggest a slightly bigger bed for couples in master room) then again I’m not the smallest guy either. Charles was very helpful and communication was top notch. He has fishing equipment and bikes available for the guests and not to mention the ferry pass that we used a lot. Thank you for a memorable stay.

Nice place - Nice stay :)

We enjoyed our stay at Charlie’s house. Finding a rental that accepts pets can be difficult. I was so happy to find Charlie’s place available when we planned our last-minute trip with our elderly cat. The home is very comfortable, clean and had everything we needed for our 2 week stay. The layout of the house is great. Although it was just two of us, I can see how this home would work well for a family. Others mentioned having issues with the TV but we had no problems. Charlie had recently installed a new one. The weather here was beautiful in November with pleasant temperatures. Kitty preferred to spend time outside in lanai so I ended up putting her litter box out there during the day. Since she is 4 pawed declawed I didn’t have to worry about her scratching/damaging the screens. The location of the house makes it convenient to the beaches, shopping and whatever else you might want to do in the Venice area. I would definitely recommend Charlie’s home.

As Described

This was a very quaint house on a corner lot. There was quite a bit of traffic but that didn't bother us. It met all our needs. Charlie was great and we texted several times during the week making sure we were comfortable and getting to know each other. Our 2 dogs were so happy and loved the lanai. We would have spent more time out there if it wouldn't have been so hot. The house manager, Karen, was great too and lives locally. We only had about 10 days and it rained every morning so we didn't get to go to the private beach. I would have rented it again for our winter extended stay but it is already reserved. Wonderful area for biking. Trails along Venetian waterway beautiful. Caspersen beach & Venice beach lovely. Saturday farmers market in downtown Venice fun. Target & Publix close. Detwiler farmer market the best! Charles & Karen couldn’t have been nicer! Kitchen & Florida room our favorite! Hopefully we’ll be back in 2023! Thanks a million!

Beautiful vacation home, excellent host!

My husband and I came here for our honeymoon and had an amazing time. The house is very spacious and in a great location, with lots of wildlife from the forested lot next door. Charlie is an incredible host and made sure that we had everything we needed. I would definitely recommend this property!

I live in rural Pa and enjoy fishing, bicycling, kayaking, hiking and gardening. I worked for AT&T as a Technician and retired with 39 years service. My goal is that everyone enjoys their stay. I'm available at all times and will respond immediately to give the best possible service. I can be texted or called 24 x 7 on my cell. My property manager Karen, lives 1/4 mile away and will address any needs, problems, or issues I direct her to.

Why they chose this property

Home has brand new wood floors and is freshly painted thought out. 65" TV with 55 antenna channels for lots of local stations and over 500 of ROKU streaming channels. If you have any steaming services at home (i.e. Amazon, Netflix, Disney Channel, Hulu) bring your login and password so you can watch them here. Brand new (2022) Washer/Dryer and Brin Coffee System that also brews K Cups. WiFi is though out the whole home. We have a 2 car garage and parking for 2 additional cars in the driveway.

What makes this property unique

Challenger Park is a play ground, basketball court, multi purpose field, volleyball, and picnic shelters is a great place for kids or adults to play. It's located only 600' away diagonally in back of the house. To get there you have to drive 1/2 mile around the bock. (371 Olivia St.)
