This is the best VRBO we’ve stayed in and Jeanne is an incredible host. If you have a chance to book this property for your stay in the Smokies, run, don’t walk, to secure it. We hope to stay again when we come back this way.
The Mockingbird Farm is a beautiful place to stay while visiting the Smoky MountainNational Park and surrounding area. It was very clean and well maintained and had everything you would need for a great stay. The host was exceptional with providing information about the area and places to see and making sure we had everything we needed. I would highly recommend The Mockingbird Farm!
We were really impressed by the layout - there was plenty of room while still allowing conversation. The views were wonderful and it was very quiet and relaxing! Jeanne could not have been more considerate and accommodating. We will definitely be back!

You are wonderful guests, and we would be honored to have you back again.
All the 5 star reviews are spot on. Very cozy and clean, the host has thought of absolutely everything. A lot of thought was put into all the little details. This location is very quiet and worked great for my wife and I who were pulling a 20' enclosed trailer. Lot's of room to park. Thanks again!

A beautiful place. Jeanne left us snacks and cute little notes for exactly how to take care of her beautiful barndominium. It was the perfect place for a quick getaway. Will be back!

Thank you so much for being such great guests! We would be honored to have you back again
We absolutely loved our stay here for my birthday getaway. The property was quiet, peaceful, and offered beautiful views of rolling terrain, birds, cows in the distance, and mountains beyond. It was the perfect setting to unwind and celebrate. Our host, Jeanne, was wonderfully responsive and accommodating, and she even left delicious homemade blueberry muffins for us at check-in, which was such a thoughtful touch. The space itself was comfortable and well-kept.While the property is about 10 miles out in the country, it still felt very convenient and centrally located to the places we visited, including Great Smoky Mountains National Park, Townsend, and Maryville. We highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a peaceful retreat, and we definitely plan to stay here again the next time we visit the area!

You were such wonderful guests! Everything was left absolutely spotless. We would be honored to have you back again! And thank you for such a sweet review.
A very kind and helpful host! She had information posted everywhere about extra towels and blankets, what to do for checkout, and anything else inbetween. She was very thoughtful as well, leaving little drinks and snacks for guests, she had ground coffee with creamer as well. The home had lovely decor with a lot of plants and happy colors and was the perfect size for the two of us. It felt very farmhouse to match the location it was at. Such a peaceful place, at night you couldn’t hear anything and there were so many stars to look at! It was pretty convenient to get most places as well. Would highly recommend this cute little spot if you’re coming to the area! Thank you Jeanne!!!

Mockingbird Farm was a perfect spot to unwind after my sister’s funeral. My son and I enjoyed the views and our hike of the property. The deer were an extra bonus. Thanks!

We felt honored to host you. And we would welcome you back at any time. You are wonderful guests.
We love staying here. It is peaceful and relaxing with everything we need. Jeanne and her husband are great and we enjoyed meeting and chatting with them. We plan to go back to the area and would not stay anywhere else. I just wanted to note that we did not ski, but I couldn’t skip that portion of the rating. Wanted to clarify in case that shows up. This place is 5 star all the way in our opinion!

This was the perfect place for us! It is quiet but a close drive to the Smokies and other area attractions. It was very clean, and we appreciated the amenities and treats Jeanne left. We enjoyed chatting with Jeanne and Ty, too. Our stay was lovely, and we highly recommend it!

About the host

I love to travel. I've been to most states in the US and over 14 other countries. My adult kids introduced me to airbnb when we took a trip together through Spain, Andorra, and France. I was so impressed that people, from other parts of the world, would open their homes to complete strangers. It helped refresh my trust in others. Now, we open our "barn-do-minium" to you. We have had the most amazing experiences with our guests. People from The Netherlands, Vermont, Washington State, and on and on and on. (Please read our reviews on airbnb)
Why they chose this property
Have you ever stayed in a barn? This is your chance. New built/no animals. You can gaze out the kitchen window and see cattle on the hill with the mountains in the background. Go explore the tourist attractions and then come "home" to peace and quiet.
What makes this property unique
I feel so blessed to be able to live on this beautiful piece of land. The location is perfect. We can be in major tourist areas within 20 - 25 minutes but we don't have to "live" there! It's always so nice to come home....I think you will feel that way too.
