About Eric Frydenlund
The Cedar Lakehouse is owned by the Frydenlunds, part of a family that has been in the lodging business for three generations. Eric Frydenlund served as general manager for a family-owned motor inn in Prairie du Chien, WI for 25 years. He and his wife Betty also owned and managed a rental cabin overlooking the Mississippi River; a property they managed for seven years with a perfect 5-star review rating.

Why Eric Frydenlund chose Lake Tomahawk
After vacationing in the Eagle River area for the past several years, the Frydenlund family thought it was time to find a place of their own. They spent a year looking at lakefront cabins, some with beautiful homes, but on marginal lakefront locations, others with attractive lake frontage, but with outdated cabins. One look at this cabin and they knew they had found what they were looking for. As Betty said when she walked in the door, “This is it.”

Beautiful vacation getaway!
This like brand new property is located on quiet and beautiful Lake Gilmore. If you are looking for a relaxing getaway, this is the place for you! It’s ideally located with easy access to restaurants and activities, but offers the opportunity to just stay home enjoying a week away from it all!!! Highly recommended family retreat!

Relaxing week
For our family (6 adults) this was a perfect location. Eric was very helpful from my first contact with him until after our stay when he checked in with us. The expectations for both arrival and departure were clearly stated, which we always appreciate. The house is clean, nicely furnished and spacious. When we all wanted to be together for meals, games or conversation, the gathering spots suited our needs. We especially took advantage of the screened porch. The entire property is well maintained. The kitchen is equipped with everything needed for great cooking. Gilmore Lake is lovely. It is not overcrowded with boats, and the loons, herons, eagles and osprey put on great shows for us.
