The cottage was perfect for my partner's birthday who wanted a cute place to stay in nature. The hosts were very nice and welcoming ☺️ The property itself has a bonfire pit area overlooking the water, and a little dock with some kayaks that you can take out. We visited Minocqua for some shopping and dining, and hiked around Cathedral Point. The whole area is gorgeous, there is something for everyone here!
Absolutely delightful! The cabin was perfect for the two of us and decorated with cozy appointments throughout. The host even kept the holiday decorations up for our stay which was sweet. A nicely stocked kitchen had everything we needed to prepare all our meals. If you’re looking for a bit of respite, this little cabin in the woods will not disappoint!
Unfortunately, the weather was cold, rainy and wet so we couldnt enjoy the lake. However, the cabin was warm and toasty with games, movies and opportunities to cook. Quick drive to town, so were were able to get in some shopping done in their cute shops!
It’s a cozy cabin for two. The host lives next door so that was helpful. Plan for a small refrigerator. Put our boat in down the road and did some fishing. Caught a few panfish!
Absolutely great cabin, well kept and clean. Cabin is quite small, but we really enjoyed it. Bed was a little old but not uncomfortable. Kayaks and deck were great, as was the lake. Host was very friendly and accommodating and made us feel welcome. Be advised that the cabin is very much in the host’s yard, so privacy isn’t 100%. This wasn’t an issue for us, and the grounds are very pretty. Very nice stay and we would consider it for other seasons too.
We enjoyed our stay here, although we didn't get to take advantage of the features of the property as much as we would have liked. (we had to leave a day earlier than planned and it was a bit rainy one day) Everything was very nice and well-maintained. The location was very peaceful. Our only "complaint" was that the mattress was very soft but that's a personal preference thing. It is a bit out away from things but that was what we enjoyed!
A quick two night trip while we waited to pick kids up from camp. Cottage is as described, if not better. Dale was a pleasure to work with; he even chain sawed a massive tree that blew down and blocked the road during a big storm so we could get to the cottage. Cottage is just close enough to be far enough away from the hub-bub of Minocqua yet an easy 10-15 minute drive when we wanted to paddleboard on the bigger lake and grab dinner at a local tavern. Great experience overall and glad our kids loved their first camp experience so we get the opportunity to rent the cottage again next summer. Thanks, Dale!
Dale and Jen were wonderful hosts and the cabin was perfect for our short stay up north. I can't compliment the cabin enough. The pictures don't do it justice! Perfect getaway for a couple.
Thank you for the wonderful stay!
Staying at the little stone cabin with its bright red shutters and Up North decor completed a much-needed relaxing vacation. The special attention to detail added to the pleasure of our stay - fishing poles and lures, games, music, WIFI, and the list continues to the supplies for our morning coffee. The red Geraniums were so cute that we shopped in town to purchase a few plants before heading home. To view the lake, guests need to follow a walkway.
Outstanding hosts, outstanding cottage! Arrived with lights on, candles burning and music playing-what a welcome!! Very classy and clean with everything you need! Dale communicated with us several times before, during and after our stay. We met onsite and Dale wanted feedback for improvements and was very hospitable! I highly recommend the cottage!! Thanks for your cottage and your kindness!!
Best place to stay if you are looking for a getaway with your partner. Owners are super sweet and are willing to help or accommodate to your needs. Defiantly would stay again.
We had an awesome stay! The cabin was cozy and well appointed! The hosts were wonderful, very kind and gave us great ideas for places to see. The snowmobile trail and snowshoe trails so close and many establishments in the area as well.
I could not have asked for a better spot for a personal retreat! I was looking for a change of scenery for remote work and romping through the snow and woods with my dog, and this cabin more than met that need. It's so cozy and well appointed. Meeting Dale and his pups was a treat, and hopefully next time I can meet Jen as she was away.
The cabin has everything you could need and has some really fun, creative items to find. It was wonderfully quiet at night. WiFi worked great except a bit of time one afternoon when there was some weather to contend with, but that was just my cue to go for a woods walk. Truly cannot wait to return! Grateful to have found such a lovely spot.
