This adorable cabin at Wintergreen has 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms with wood burning fireplace, large front deck with propane grill, well stocked kitchen, and open living area with vaulted ceilings. The home has everything you’ll need to enjoy your getaway. The master bedroom, located on the main floor, has a king size bed with private access to the deck. The guest bedroom has 1 queen bed, and the 3rd bedroom has 2 bunk beds - ideal for children. Both located on the upper the level. There are 2 full bathrooms- one located on each level. House sleeps 8. This is a no smoking, no pet property.

On the mountain, we are a short drive to the Market, Mountain Inn, Wintergarden Spa, the Discovery Ridge Adventure Center, ski slopes, and tubing park.

Off the mountain, enjoy the many local breweries, wineries and restaurants - Devils Backbone, Wild Wolf Brewery, Bold Rock, Giuseppe's Restaurant to name a few. There is also a grocery store, ABC Store, Dollar General and pharmacy in Nellysford.

During the winter, Wintergreen Resort offers skiing, snowboarding, snow tubing, shopping and dining at many restaurants and food outlets.

During the summer, enjoy hiking and biking at Wintergreen or hit the Blue Ridge Parkway and Appalachian Trail. We are a scenic drive to Crabtree Falls - one of the tallest waterfalls east of the Mississippi River. Other summer activities outdoor pools, a summer music festival and the Adventure Center featuring putt-putt, a rock climbing wall, a zip line, bungee trampoline and the Wintergreen Nature Foundation. Lake Monocan in the valley offers a beach, water slide, water trampoline, kayaking and fishing. Visit Wintergreen Resort website to see what all the Mountain has to offer.

For your convenience, we provide firewood, linens and towels and a starter supply of toilet paper, paper towels, trash bags, dish detergent, laundry detergent and hand soap.

An awesome place to stay in the mountains!

The peace and quiet was as delightful as the cabin! Clean and well stocked, comfort at its highest! Close to many "attractions" for adventures of all kinds! We are already looking forward to next year!

Well appointed cabin in the woods!

Cabin was perfect for our group of 8! Comfortable bedrooms and great living room space for group dinners and game night! The kitchen was small but very well stocked -- everything we needed to cook and celebrate with our group!

Great weekend getaway

Cozy spot with a great location for skiing. House worked good for 2 families - all the kids slept in the bunkroom. Kitchen was stocked with pots, pans & spices. Plenty of firewood available. Easy drive (and walk) to the lodge. Hosts provided good instructions. Would stay here again!

Weekend Delight

We enjoyed our stay at the "Bear Feet Retreat". The proximity of the cabin to the ski slopes and the Plunge tubing park fit the bill for our weekend visit. Also enjoyed the rustic design, decor and layout of the cabin in our time off the slopes. The driveway access needs regraded and stabilized for ease of access by non-sport/utility vehicles however.

Well-appointed.

The hosts have thought about almost everything. We were sorry we were not there for the blooming of the rhododendrons. Lots of windows to see all the woods and we enjoyed the quiet. Good sleeping in a very comfortable bed.

Nice and convenient

The place was very nice and very convenient to the resort and hiking and other activities. It’s quite spacious and nicely furnished. It also had a great outdoor grill. The only complaint was that we could not find a grill tong. Perhaps we were looking in the wrong places. Anyway great place. Highly recommend.

Cozy Cabin in Wintergreen

We had a wonderful stay in Wintergreen. Lydia and Stuart were very attentive to detail. The cabin was fully stocked with everything you would need. Fireplace was lovely and I think we used it every night. The location was what we were looking for. A short 2 minute drive just before you get to the resort. It allowed us to avoid the Wintergreen resort traffic. Lovely hiking trails literally outside the back door. Close to Nelson County 151 and Skyline Drive. Quiet neighbors on a cul-de-sac.

Mountain View

House is cozy and comfortable in a good location of mountain. Bedding was comfortable and loved having the ability to make a fire. Recommendations: Final instructions (which is what I printed to go by) listed house # incorrectly. Very confusing once we got there and couldn't find the house # listed, and no number to call to clarify. Lock box difficult to place back after opening. Finally, pictures of bunk bed room were a bit deceiving. We were a group of 6 adults and size of bunk bed room much smaller than pictured with doors almost at end of bunk bed itself.

Wintergreen perfection!

Stayed here for the weekend, to tube at wintergreen resort. Within driving distance to the plunge! This house was perfect for our family of 5 and our friends family of 3. The boys loved exploring outside, while my little in loved playing all the card games. Everything we needed was there and ready to use. We will defiantly stay at this beautiful property again. Thank you to the home owners.

BREATHING IN SHENANDOAH

Property was just as advertised and more. It is stocked with everything any variety of folks would appreciated - couples, families with children, friends, skiers, hikers, young or old. Our visit was mid-Oct, a little rainy and a lot of fog during our stay but I don't think it mattered at all. The air felt so good and the mountains are so beautiful. Only gave a 3 for check-in because we hadn't reeived the pass code the day of arrival but our host responded immediately to our phone call/text. He had sent the code through VRBO early in the day but for some reason it had not gone thru. Our host was going to invetigate with VRBO. It did not cause us any real problem. We ould use this property again.

10 th Birthday Celebration

Wonderful and spacious place to stay

We visited Laurel Ridge to do a little skiing in February. In our party were two, 4 person families. This property was perfect for us! Not only were the parents able to have spacious bedrooms, the kids thoroughly enjoyed their own room with two bunk beds! Also, it should not be overlooked that this property is on the entry side of the mountain. This means it is a lot easier to access restaurants at the foot of the mountain and in Nellysford. We look forward to our next visit!

Great Weekend Getaway

We enjoyed a great weekend with family friends. This was a comfortable cabin for 4 adults and 4 kids. Plenty of outdoor activities to enjoy.
