The large enclosed brick patio offers privacy for enjoying a soak in the hot tub, sunbathing or enjoying a barbecue while listening to the seals barking from their perches under the wharf.

The house was perfect for our party of four (3 adults and a toddler). The living space was comfortable, the kitchen was well equipped for cooking meals, and we ate all our meals in the lovely patio. The hot tub was an added bonus. The location is wonderful for walking to many great Santa Cruz restaurants and activities.

Great little house

Overall, our stay was excellent. The location was great, just a couple blocks to West Cliff, easy walk into town and the wharf. Place was clean and beds comfortable. We had issues with the outlets in the bedrooms not working - only 1 outlet in each bedroom worked. The host was responsive quickly and although they couldn't fix the issue while we were there, they supplied us with extension cords that worked around the issue. No soap, shampoo or conditioner - it did say that in amenities but I honestly think that is something the host should provide. It's a small nicety especially when you don't read all the details of the amenities beforehand and now have to buy those things.

Fantastic!

We had a wonderful stay here! The location could not be beat. The neighborhood was quiet and friendly, and just a short walk to many beautiful sites, including the boardwalk, the wharf, and W. Cliff Dr. The Casita was very comfortable and exactly as advertised. The back patio space with the hot tub and outdoor table was so peaceful and beautiful. An absolutely wonderful property, terrific communication from the host, and overall outstanding stay.

Great location near the beach

Place is an excellent stay for anything Santa Cruz. They also have a lot of extras that make the stay easy like beach towels and such.

Overall, great place.

Everything was awesome. Location and access to Santa Cruz is great. Unfortunately there were a lot of ants. Might be because the floor downstairs was warm.

Great spot for a couple. Wonderful host, location was close to everything on Santa Cruz Boardwalk and Wharf, a great experience...don't miss Wilder Ranch.

Fabulous location for the Half Ironman!

The casita is a great spot to stay for proximity to the wharf, boardwalk and much more. The neighborhood is quiet, quaint and very walkable. There is an enclosed children’s park a couple blocks away that was perfect for our 2 year old granddaughter. Jill is exceptional for response time to inquiries. There were a couple of minor issues but they were not deal breakers. We would definitely stay here again if our son does another SC Half Ironman!

Beautiful place to stay in a great location. It was stocked with everything you need and easy to use. Amazing location with a short walk to the West Cliff Drive and easy to get to wonderful eateries.

Bonita Casita

This is one of the best VRBOs we've stayed in on our many trips to Santa Cruz. Great location--just minutes to West Cliff and all the action on the Wharf, but in a pretty, quiet neighborhood. The casita had everything our family needed for our 1-week stay and the kitchen was stocked as well as our own at home for meal prep and serving. Our hosts were great, and we will definitely plan to reserve this gem again in the future!

Christmas at the Casita

We had a lovely stay over the holidays. The house was clean, kitchen was nicely stocked with everything needed, beds comfortable, everything we needed. Jill is a terrific host and answered all our questions promptly. It is in a great location near West Cliff. Highly recommend!

Long weekend

My wife and I and our adult daughter and her husband came to Santa Cruz to watch our son do a triathlon. We traveled from CT and arrived very late, but Jill had given us detailed directions and made it so easy for us. The little house is exactly as advertised - spotlessly clean with all conveniences, and in a great location. We highly recommend staying here!

Will be back next year

Our 5 week stay was wonderful. From check-in to check-out, Jill and her husband were very gracious hosts. Jill answered many questions I had before we even arrived, and if something came up while we were there, she responded immediately (even when she was out of town). The casita's kitchen is well equipped, with everything needed to cook. The hot tub, which is heated 24/7 was immaculate ( the service guy came every Monday while we were there). We had lovely meals out on the patio in the backyard, with very nice shade from the beautiful trees. The living area furniture is a bit dated, and a coffee table or ottoman would be nice, but otherwise fine.As far as the bedrooms, they were both very nice and the beds were comfy. Some extra pillows would be great. We have family in the area ( 1 block away) and we will be returning to SC next summer for another long stay. Because the casita is on an alleyway and not on a main street, it is super quiet (all you can really hear is the sea lions at the wharf!) Thank you Jill for being such a wonderful host. It is obvious that you care about your property and you care about your guests and their comfort. See you next year!

nice hideaway in great neighborhood

My mother and I had a great time staying at the Casita. Jill provided all necessary instructions and was responsive to questions. It's a short walk to some scenic cliffs where you can see the community gather around surfing in the mornings, and running and biking throughout the day. The neighborhood was quiet and peaceful. You're tucked away from the street. The parking space is very convenient. If you appreciate gardening, the homeowners in the area bring their A-game! Would gladly stay again.

Amazing location

If you’re a surfer this place is phenomenal. Walking distance to the lane or cowells plus an outdoor shower and hot tub to soak in after. The street is very quiet and close to everything. It was great!

Exceptional Vacation Rental with Unbeatable Location and Comfort

We recently had the pleasure of staying at this amazing vacation rental, and we must say, it exceeded all ou expectations. From the very beginning, our host was extremely easy to contact, friendly, and always willing to lend a helping hand to make our stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. The floor warming in the rental was a delightful surprise that added an extra level of coziness to our stay. The property's location was superior, just a stone's throw away from West Cliff Drive, making it incredibly convenient for us to explore the beautiful surroundings. Parking was not an issue at all during our stay. Although the place was a little tricky to find initially, it didn't take us long to figure out where it was. Trust me, the minor inconvenience is absolutely worth it for the peace and quiet this neighborhood offers. The kitchen was well-stocked with all the basic necessities, allowing us to prepare meals with ease. The price for our week-long stay was unbeatable, especially considering the quality of the rental and its fantastic location. Having two bathrooms with showers was a very convenient feature, allowing our group to get ready quickly in the mornings or refresh after a long day of exploring. In conclusion, I highly recommend this vacation rental for anyone looking for a comfortable, affordable, and well-located place to stay. The exceptional host, floor warming, quiet neighborhood, and convenient amenities all contributed to a truly memorable experience.
